*SBI - SERVICE CHARGES* *Is SBI charging too much ?* ✔If you you are rich, you can easily maintain Rs 25,000/- in your SB account and can make unlimited ATM withdrawals. ✔If you are not rich enough, your account may not have enough balance to make more than 5 withdrawals in a month. So no charges will be debited. ✔The 5 free transactions enable you to withdraw Rs 2,00,000/- in a month. How many of you need more cash ? ✔You can deposit your cash in cash deposit machines, using your ATM card, any number of times without any charges. ✔Around 70 % of SBI branches are in Semi urban and Rural areas, where minimum balance requirement is Rs 1000 to Rs 2000 only. If you are not able to maintain Rs 2000/- in your SB account, you can open a basic savings Bank account on which minimum balance charges are not applicable. ✔Cost involved in maintaining one ATM is about Rs 70,000/-per month. (Electricity charges, Rent , cash loading expenses , depreciation etc). So think about the cost of maintaining 58000 ATMs !!!. ✔Bank pays a huge sum every month to telecom operators for using their network but Bank recovers a nominal charge of Rs 15/- per quarter towards SMS charge. ✔At a nominal cost of Rs 200/- per year (Annual maintenance fee & sms charge), you can use the services of 22500 branches, 58000 ATMs , 7000 + cash deposit machines. Is there any Bank in the world that offers the same facility @ cheaper rate ???
