Mine yesterday at lho patna. 8 am 5 panel 4M 1F. Everyone was asking 2 to 3 questions from my honours paper history. Gd topic leadership is inborn or trait. GE an applicant is applying for a job. 1. Place of posting 2. Work culture 3. Reputation of organisation 4. Job security 5. Monetary gain 6. Growth opportunities ...... Interview started at 11:55 am and was over 12:00 pm. No need to worry. Very simple questions are asked. No banking awareness questions as I expected.

Hi every one..done wid GE and interview yesterday in hyderabad . I had my shift at 10AM..document verification went through fine..some of d candidates dont have proper caste certificate format..they have asked an undertaking for that..they were co operative..our GD starts wid appraisal from d organisers for reaching this level.. Gd topic : Should agriculture sector be given top priority or manufacturing sector for the growth of our nation?? As it is a very interesting topic,we involved a lot and we even forgot the time ..atlast sir intervened to stop ..he didnt let us to conclude as time was over.they have not reminded us.. Priority What should be done to acheive food surplus 1.impose fine on wastage,technology,reduction of exports,corporatisation etc It didnt went through fine..we gave 2 priorities only..again time over..but they appreciated us and told that it was one of d best GDs they have seen and told that he is happy as he felt that india's future will be great on listening to our words.. Few details of sbi. Software used for cbs is bancslink developed by TCS. Foreign branches use finnacle developed by infy. Sbi product similar to paytm is sbibuddy. A digital wallet. Recently sbi has launched a project for digital banking facilities named project lotus. In this software customer can open accounts online, only for biometric verification he has to visit bank. Sbi has tie up with many companies like , sbi life , general insurance, sbi caps etc. Most of the cross selling done In sbi is related to these products only. In housing loan market sbi has largest share followed by hdfc. Anything specific, you can pm me.
Sbi po job may look hectic in the beginning. Especially po are not treated that good in branches. But in training sessions , po is the only staff cadre in Sbi which gets chance to interact with top executives like MD CGM and CHAIRMAN. And in all the training session , you will hear only word, " we believe in po's to lead the bank tomorrow. If top management has any belief in its staff , then it's only in po's. As far as career growth is considered, Sbi po job is best in government industry. Right after 2 years of probation if you can clear exam with good marks you can become scale 2 directly. And in promotion , promotion of po is never delayed unless there is bona-fide reason. Right after 2 years of probation if you completed your rural posting quota, they you can appear for treasury exam of bank. If you clear that paper, you will be directly posted in corporate centre Mumbai to handle treasury operations. Any experience in treasury operation of Sbi is considered to be gold dust. Such person will be demanded by private banks with 5 fold increase in salary. After completing 3 years Bm assignment a po can appear for JIBO ( JUNIOR INDIA BASED OFFICER ). On clearing this exam, you will be given foreign postings. Imagine you people working in new York branch of Sbi at the age of 27 or 28!!!!!. Finally I would say, sbi is challenging, very tough , becoming even more tougher in coming days . But if you have got the metal to survive it , then no one can stop you here.
