Got a chance to encourage them. As per the advice of @nalanda90 i focussed on intro and was able to deliver a well balanced impactful intro. Group was above average. There were few over enthusiasts and few silent watchers but overall it was decent and we reached implict consensus. Gd Conductors cut it short in 12 mins and didnt insist on a proper conclusion. Takeaway - encourage others to speak if they arent participating. It will be noticed. Give relevant points and dont stick to your tune. Ge - prioritize 8 points of a good communicator. Kaboom... 10 mins , disagrrement over 1st and 2nd point liek we see in parliament. Someone suggested that we will never reach consensus and then something stuck me , somehing that i learnt from thiz group - start prioritising from bottom... we went from 8 .. 7.. 6.. so on and so forth and reached conclusion unexpectedly. Takeaway - lol. Nohing. It is written on the sheet that consensus is by no means necessary and your marks wont be affected by your choice. Pi - I was the 25th candidate. By the time my turn came , they were in a hurry. They had asked some pretty random questions to candidates before us so we were a bit conscious. Fortunately , mine was pretty smooth. 1. Tell me about your district. 2. Sports you play. 3. First person to claim 10 wickets in an innings.? I said Anik kumble. He asked me if i was sure and corrected that he was askinf first overall , not first indian. I said no idea. He asked if i knew whether that bowler was carribean , english or aussie ? I said no idea genuinely. He said - jim lacker , 19 wickets in that test. He said this addressing everyone , including other board memebrs. Other board members praised this gentleman (he being the chairman , cgm ahemdabad circle) and i thanked him for giving me that piece of info. 4. Since you mentioned anil kumble , where did he take 10 wicket ? - against ? -his nick name ? Who was the last pair batting ? Answered all correctly. Asked me to name a few cricketers from my district. Rocked the hell out of that question , he was pleased 😎 ( since i belong to jamnagar , we have jam ranjit sinhji - in whose honour ranji trophy is named , indias first chinaman vinoo mankad , salim durani , ravinder jadeja etc. ) Memeber 2 Why banking from insurance ? Prepare ur profile. 3. As Garima and Vivacious have been saying - learn every word of d-daya paper. Every single word. Sbi life was in todays papers. 4. Boys - wear suit if possible. It hides the wrinkles in your shirt. And after doc verification , gd and ge , biometric , .. u will have wrinkles on ur shirt. I regret not wearing a suit today. 5. Dont be oversmart and dont be too enthusiastic. They get irked. 7. Maintain a low profile. Smile , keep a pleasnt face. Smiling face will solve many problems in life. Poetic , but true.
My priority list was totally opposite of what group consensus was?? Gd was Okk pi was okk (20mins), will they fail me(because of priority list),or give me less marks,how much should I expect???

Yesterday had gdpi. In gd one guy tried to become dominant and also kind of got reprimanded for speaking after the buzzer. I am confused about my pi though .. I actually mistaken quote story of a different book (hobby) while describing other one... Will it be a disaster or what ? Later on they kept on asking about economy in general for about 15 min. My question is what they look in pi confidence or knowledge.. Because I made 2-3 mistakes while answering.

My interview happened on 8th sept.. I took character certificate of 12th class instead of graduation..(My graduation college didnot give character certificate )..The verification guy took an undertaking from me that I would submt character certificate from university within 7 days and then allowed for GDPI. He took the photocopy of my 12th class character certificate and kept with him..I am not sending any other character certificate because my university doesnot give any such certificate.. I hope they dont hold my result if i am selected...Guys! pls give your opinion what might happen...

I have given two charactee certificated one from last attended college other from Gazetted officer. Im working in a pvt bank. At the time of interview they told one character certificate must be from present employer. Inspite of calling and mailing to HR people several times they r not giving me the character certificate. If i wont present character certificate now will sbi is going to canceal the candiditure?

I also had GDPI in mumbai today, the guy who is saying that one person slapped other in gd is a liar. No such thing hapened today there. I think he didn't even had gd there just spreading lies to gain attention *LOSER*

PS-Don't be aggressive in GD .It makes bad impression as in our group the moderators had to intervene.
