Other SBI aspirants: Will I get selected to SBI? Competition is severe. I am average. God please help. The (Over)-Confident Me: Can SBI dare to not select me. Do I have any competition? God please help those who are in a greater neccesity of the job. The good thing is I have been able to maintain this (Over)-Confidence despite failures.
Year 2014 Papa: clerk job mila hain appoint kar du permanent hain. ME: I will go for nothing less than PO wo bhi PSB mein. Papa: Normal degree wala tere ko clerk bhi kaha milega? Year 2015 The sharmaji: Beta kya karte ho? ME: B.SC The Sharmaji: hmm..mchh... kich jobs try karo. SBI clerk notification aaya dekh lena. Ye nahi ki tum qualify kar loge but competition ka pata chalega. Bhagwan kare inko sahi salamat jawab dena ka mauka mile 1 week mein.

Result itna late kyu hota hain? All they have to do is enter GDGEPI marks of 6000 candidates n then let computer calculate marks nd make out the merit list. All this can be done in a day why take 3 weeks for the same?
i am not 100% positive about my sbi po results. I don't know when they are gonna publish the results. I have Ibps po pre on 8th. I haven't even started anything yet to prepare. I don't know what to do. 😫 #Anxious #Scared #Lethargic #hopeful_yet_demotivated

A short (but true) story to soothe the frayed nerves of anxious aspirants:
During my final year of engineering course (2012-2016 batch), some highly sought after companies visited our campus for recruitment. One of my batchmate DHRUW [Hero of this story; a very intelligent and humble person] was expectantly awaiting their arrival. He had his fears......And they came TRUE!!!
Maruti Suzuki- Not shotlisted due to low marks in 10th boards
Tata Metaliks- Again rejected due to board marks
Tata Motors- His branch was not allowed to sit (The company has high affinity for toppers and he was one amongst them, so had very gud chance)
Tata Hitachi[highest paying company; Has affinity for toppers]- Did not visit
Shapoorji Pallonji- Was scheduled to visit, but plan shelved at last moment
Others recruiters like Bharat Forge, Tayo Rolls, JSW etc. also skipped their visit. Even NITIE rejected him (He got an AIR of around 1600 in Mech, GATE that year)
Everything that cud have gone wrong, went wrong. Dejected, he started sitting in smaller companies that visited our campus. But as luck wud have it, even they rejected him. Frustrated, bruised, dejected and saddened, he left the campus without a job [while many with backlogs and lowpointerk managed to get a job, courtsey friendship with Training and Placement Cell Guys]
3-4 months ago, I was pleasantly surprised to see a facebook post: DHRUW KUMAR JHA- AIR 9 Mechanical GATE 2017. And I thought he got his due; BUT...................................
He secured AIR 7 IES 2017 Mechanical- A record in the history of our college.....And this is how rejection made becomes a shining star.

I am very sure none of this wud have ever happened had he got a job!!! And this is not an isolated examples, people like Amitabh Bachchan (Failed All India Radio interview), APJ Abdul Kalam(failed at Indian Air Force interview).....the list goes on and on.....
So what i want to convey is that trust yourself foremost. Whether you succeed or fail in SBI, in the context of life, it will be"VERY INSIGNIFICAT EVENT"{ most of u will nt even remember it}
Bcoz what u all are capable of (to be amongst last 6000 out of 16Lakhs people who applied vouch for that) is much higher than this and this Failure/Success is prerequisite to reach there . If u promise urself to keep striving harder everytime, U will achieve feats which u yourself may have never imagined!!! And for ur Sharma Ji in neighbourhood, surprise him with this new found attitude and the old man will never dare to mess wid u....All D best...for life!!!!!!!!...
