Good morning, friends. Can we expect the final result on Oct 4?
This day last year sbi gave us our identity, gave us hope, gave us respect in the eyes of hypocritical society. Hoping for the same for all you beloved puys.
Guys, what is the expected cut off mark out of 100? 48 or above?
As one of the puys requested me to share my experience.. I would do it in brief. After joining bank on 15 November. We were told to report to our respective branches. My first branch was a semi urban almost 60km from home. Initially I was posted there for general banking training of 15 weeks.. But most of the times I did the pending work. I used to work till 8pm daily. Then, in between we had our orientation programme in sbsc hyderabad.. This was a really good time. And then ftp1 in guwahati.. We enjoyed these 15 days like anything. I would say they were best 15 days of my life. Next training as per schedule was agriculture and I was posted In the same branch for another 2 months for the same. Finally it finished on 22may and I was transferred to Belgaum. For all the cell training. There in cells I was with other po's. We enjoyed that period like anything. Everyday partying, meetings chitchat etc. That's where we learnt our po brotherhood. Helping in each others problems. Celebrating birthdays. Going out on our bikes. Etc. The branch managers in these cells also came from po background so they let us enjoy our life. Now also that same fun has continued. But it's not only fun we have learnt so many things about banking. For example, sme advances, corporate loans forex transactions etc. Then came the ftp2 which was in tirupati was a month. There also got to meet with po batchmates of other circles. Enjoyed culturals, sports games with all. Finally one thing I would like to say. Sbi is not that bad as it has been shown to be on the Internet. Rather I would say it's best place if you want to make career in banking. All the best for result.

Pi experience I knocked the door and asked for permission to enter the room. There were 3 males and 2 Female members in the Interview Panel. M1 asked me to come in. Me: Good morning Everyone. All: Good morning take your seat. Me: Thank you. M1: Recent hydrogen bomb blast? Me: unaware about this M1: Recent Pm visit to other countries? Me: China and Myanmar M1: What is the Long form of Bricks? Me: Told M1: Purpose of Bricks? ME: To help and support each other( means I already mentioned the countries) M1: So you are an engineer? Me: Yes sir M1: Why banking then ? Me: Answerd(they were Satisfied and no counter question on this) He waved toward F1 then. F1: Which mechanical subject was there in your electrical engineering? Me: One was there in first year Mechanics F1: How induction motor works? Me: Some how managed to answer M2: your hobby is sketching and chess, so which type of sketch you draw Me: I like sketching portraites. M2: Why we need hobby? Me: Answered ( I feel this was good) M3: What you are doing now? Me : Preparing for competitive exams mainly banking. M3: Are you planning for any other exams like Upsc and mpsc? Me: No, Sir frankly speaking I am not planning for these exams I want to play leadership role in SBI itself and infact I will focus on my promotion in SBI only.(All were smiling and me too) F2: (With broad smile) what are the qualities of leadership? Me: Answered ( I was knowing this) M2: Have you played any leadership role? Me: Yes, and Answered. All: Thank you, All the best. ME: THANK YOU and have a good day everyone. (I felt interview was too short around 6-7 min but still I am hoping for positive result let's see. )

Since everybody is predicting cutoff, let me join the race too..
My prediction : 45 - 47.35/100 (Final cutoff - For General Category)
I know the upper limit looks harsh but we need to keep in mind the following:
a. General Category seats have decreased (1028 last yr, 1010 this time)
b. Most people who gave the interview will be rejected. (Almost 70%. Many people calculates the cutoff in such a way that they feel that they might pass ignoring the harsh realities)
c. Competition is increasing. (Prelims cutoff jumped from 47.5 last year to 51.5 this year although level of the paper increased slightly. This implies that the level of preparation among candidates are also increasing which will reflect in the mains exam as well)
Upper Limit Analysis:
1. Mains Cuttoff : 60/200 (Last Year it was 70. This time paper was tougher, so lets assume it decreases by 10 marks)
2. Descriptive : 22/50 (Last year it was 20. Lets say this time it increases by 2marks to slightly offset the decrease in objective paper)
3. Hence 60 + 22 = 82 (Last year 70 + 20 = 90)
4. 82 * 0.3 = 24.6 (Last year it was 90*0.3 = 27)
5. Last Year final cutoff was 49.75, which was 22.75 marks more than 27 (Mains, Refer point no 4)
If this year too, this number remains the same, then 22.75+24.6 = 47.35

max 10 days m result aa jayega. ho gya to khud ko khushkismat samjhoonga ki sbi jaise bank m po bana warna kya jo pichli baar hua wo phir repeat. but as per past experience cutoff wont go above 46.5( this is max)
