I don’t think 3000 is the vacancy for POs. Riyakol is more authentic than Hindu and Riyakol had said that even the entire 2000 won’t be filled. If you might go through notification of each year and compare it with the final selection then 100-200 is the decrease in every year almost.
Riyakol said 1900 would be filled approx. So, that leaves us generals with 960 seats ( 50.50 % for us) and approx 3 times I.e. 2880 or say 2900 generals will clear mains out of 10100 who gave the exam, so roughly the top 30 percentile among generals will give interviews.
I might be wrong but the point about vacancy reduction was mentioned by Riyakol Only.
