What will be the date for joining training after result in november
Is it true that they gave you near your hometown for first year after you join as SBIPO?
Is anyone getting every day intimation from SBI to fill preference list?
CUTOFF ANALYSIS : Let's try to come to the conclusion of how much the cutoff is going to shoot up from previous year. for the sake of uniformity i am taking in same gd/pi marks as last year's.
Now, the cutoff for mains was around 89.25/250 so , in the overall cutoff (for 75:25 ratio) it would round up to 26.775. AND the overall cutoff for sbi po 2017 (mains+gd/pi out of 100) was 46.59. so, one would need to get 40/50 in the interview to get the selection even if he was just able to pass the mains cutoff marginally.
This time , let's say maximum cutoff for mains would shoot up to 105/250. ok?
even then, rounding it off to 75:25 ratio it would become 31.25. and so the overall cutoff can go up as high as 51.25/100. *IT SHOULD NOT GO ABOVE THIS MARK*
HOWEVER, if mains cutoff would be 98/250 then mains cutoff : 29.5/75 and the overall cutoff would be 49.4/100
U GUYS CAN SAFELY ASSUME THE CUTOFF TO BE AROUND 50+1/-1 OUT OF 100

Guys I have been doing some research on on the PO role and just listing pros and cons in case I am selected and have a decision to make whether to leave my current job.
Cons:
1. There is overwhelming evidence that work life is very monotonous, hectic and you may feel frustrated if you feel you are overqualified for the work you do. Work during probation is donkey work. Plenty of non-anon posts on quora.
2. There is a very slim chance of moving back laterally into the private sector. Though possible, very few have done it. Most quit for another govt. job.
3. 6 days a week and 10-12 hours working everyday, aleast for the first 3-4 years. I have had a job like this one previously and trust me, the enthusiasm wears off sooner rather than later. This shit screws with your health.
4. The transfer situation is very badly managed. There is also unfortunately very little transparency in internal selections for specialised functions.
Pros:
1. You will have a stable job and won't have to worry about job security based on market conditions.
2. The money is very good. You will be able to have an upper middle class lifestyle and have considerable savings. As promotions come in it will get even better. Also employee interest rates are AMAZING.
3. Other PSBs are no match for SBI in terms of career growth prospects.
All in all, I think this is a good option only for people unemployed or stuck in some bad company earning less than 6lpa or someone genuinely in it for the challenge.

If a general category candidate scores just cut off marks in mains, Marks needed in GDPI to make it in final merit list.
2013 = 17.70/25 (No prelims, only mains)
2014 = 21.60/25 (No prelims, only mains)
2015 = 11.975/25 (Yes around 12, prelims introduced)
2016 = 22.75/25 (Very High)
2017 = 19.815/25 (Sectional cut off removed)
