I am posting this here since I am unable to reply to your message.
My prep was all about mocks as far as SBI PO exam is concerned. Having said that,it doesn't mean I never had to study concepts. I had prepared for B-school exams in the year 2014, but not too seriously. IBPS/SBI seemed like a cakewalk after preparing for CAT/XAT. The only weak area of mine was Current Affairs and Banking, where I am still struggling. My suggestion would be to finish off concepts as early as possible and devote at least a month to mocks.
I remember, two years ago, I posted a question here on PG which was a notch higher in difficuly level and somebody asked me the source of the question. I said it is from one of TIME's MBA prep materials. A few mins later, somebody posted in the same thread saying I needed to take some XYZ medicine because I'm mentally sick since SBI is never going to ask such questions. When the actual mains paper flashed on my screen, it seemed much similar to CAT paper and I wasn't surprised since my prep was up to that level, while most of the people were in shock.
So, my suggestion to you would be to keep up your prep a notch higher no matter what others say. For VA, finish off Word Power Made Easy by Norman Lewis. For QA and reasoning, I will not suggest anything since I never focussed on these two. Maybe sometimes I did refer to scrabbler's blog https://cat100percentile.com. For GA and Banking, I think BA's daily posts are good enough. Apart from BA, do refer to gktoday's monthly magazines, even if you have to pay for it.
Do take a lot of mocks and analyse them. Do not get demoralised if your number of attempts are low. Focus on accuracy. I got in with just 83 attempts, while most people did around 100 questions. It doesn't matter at all. But do keep your written marks so high that interview makes little or no difference in your final selection. I had very low marks in interview (17/30) and average in GD (15/20), thanks to two years of joblessness and depression. But my final marks were 54+ which was approx. 5 marks above the final cutoff.
