Analysis: 2018 cutoff: 2019 cutoff(expected) Mains - 93.10 Mains-92.95 Overall - 50.79 Overall-50.28 Last year marking scheme gives you a higher score as compared to this year's. Last year, Gk could have fetched 52 at the maximum against this year's 40 which increased the cutoff. So this time the extra cushion of 4-5 marks will compensate the EWS inclusion and hence almost similar cutoffs or may be slightly lower.

Cutoff for general will be high this time... Bcz 800 posts... For these posts all categories plus unreserved students compete.... In final list of 800posts only 450-500 general candidates will be der..so cut off for general will be aroung 51.7-52.3

We are living in a world where people get fired for reasons so petty that would leave you aghast. So, if our perspective is that we did too well in gd or interview, we are still at the mercy of the panels, who can give us terrible marks even due to things like the way of sitting, talking, gestures or even a single word we uttered by mistake which put us in real bad light of the interviewer or gd panel. They are there to make us uncomfortable, so we sometimes dont notice the things we do or say when nervous. Staying optimistic is good thing but deciding the undecided beforehand can sometimes give us shocks which may then be difficult to come out of. Interview and gd are so much subjective that you can never be sure about them even if you answered most of the questions.Not even a single person out of 6000 can claim that he/she would get xyz marks. Though he/she can get those marks but that would be a case where interviewer and interviewee were on the same line of thought. One thing you can do is estimate the marks that you may need in phase 3 to manage to be in the merit list , instead of thinking that you will get xyz marks for sure. Predictions will just increase the anxiety and do nothing good right now. All that will happen is that if somebody by chance got the predictions right, he/she will come in next year group and pose as god who can predict everything right and give false hopes or may demoralize others. This is not to scare anybody but a little heads up. Goodluck to all of you. So now just pray and be hopeful.
