I have a rank of 321 and 79 for PGP and PGP-ABM respectively in IIML. I know my chances seem bleak but I'll still ask whether I'll go through with any of the subsequent WL movements.

An unpleasant rant, probably lagenga that faaltu mein bolraha huh but only serious people give this a read and if possible tag some seniors in comments.

22 months software workex (including this month)


Calls: All calls except XLRI BM (DM sectional below 80)

Total converts so far: Calcutta, Kozhikode, Indore, Udaipur, Kashipur, Bodh Gaya, Jammu, Sambalpur, Trichy, Raipur

Total waitlists so far: Bangalore, Lucknow, Ranchi, XLRI HR  

Total rejects so far: Ahmedabad, Sirmaur  

10 converts 4 waitlists 2 rejects. (Yeah I messed up CAP too)


Waiting for FMS now. 


FInancial background: Critical. Dad is going to retire this year and has immense loans to take care of already. To secure my seat in IIMC we had to dutch 1 lakh amount because neither of us had the entire liquid money to begin with.


So, Mostly my call is going to be C or FMS (if I convert).


And SADLY I know 80-90 percentilers in SC category with profile worser than me (I'm from an Old IIT too) and they have converted Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Lucknow too unlike me (Guess I converted C because C gives weightage to CAT percentile more and that's why I got through in my category) 


So my PI skills are definitely a problem, and I belong to reserved category too so competing with 50% of the GEM crowd would be incredibly tough for me if I have lost to people with poor profile and CAT percentile in SC category too. MY confidence is in absolute shatters, and in that case, FMS has got to be my safest bet because even if I remain unplaced, I wouldn't lose anything and can try offcampus anyday. Atleast I'd get 12LPA in hand if not anything else. Thoughts?
