**Something IMPORTANT and **Need ATTENTION
This is regarding the final placement reports of IIM Raipur. I'm not concluding anything, just a confusion, and Need HELP.
Am I the only one who think the placements reports are over hyped, inaccurate, data deficient, and fallacious? Did anyone analyze the reports of CAP IIMs or specially just IIM Raipur?
So, I analyzed the final placement reports of 2018, 2019, 2020 shared by IIM Raipur and 2020 for other CAP IIMs. In all the 3 years, it's mentioned 150+ Recruiters, 50+ New Recruiters (65+ in 2018), whereas the average/median CTC was around 12.5 LPA, 14.2 LPA, and 14.8 LPA for '18, '19, and '20. Found something fishy here? Means around 50 companies are backing out and 50 new recruiters are coming in (rougly), which is not possible according to me. Having said that, the report shows hardly 80-90 companies in list -> and that number is acceptable if you match with the number of companies coming to other CAP IIMS like UDaipur/Ranchi, Trichy, and others. Also, if you copy past the list of companies in excel, put a vlookup, you will find a lot of different companies, very less companies who matches with the last year ones. Once you sit and analyze this, you will see all the numbers. Images attached for reference. And if 150 recruiters are visiting the Median should have been much higher and should be mentioned in the reports.
So, what am I missing or something is really fishy? I would be happy to be proven wrong, but this looks very unethical like something is hidden or exagerating if you compare the data with other IIMs.
I request students who recived the offers or are in waitlist to look and share your views.
