Sentence Correction for CAT 2012

@barclays_boss You said, "Gesticulation(a noun) is the gesture of gesticulating(a verb).

So , His act of gesticulating in the show was simply fantabulous would fit the bill."

If it were 'His gesticulation in the show was...', would it be okay then?

You said, "Being a motivator,I have quizzed almost every facet of people's personality is correct." Wouldn't it be people's 'personalities' since people is a plural term?

Here are the OAs:-

(1)Option 1
The
correct option is 1 because 'A' and 'B' don't have any error. In 'C' it
should be 'over' not 'above'. 'D' is incorrect because it should be
'seemed' not 'were seeming'. In 'E' the correct preposition should be
'along' not 'alongside'.
(2)Option 5
The correct
option is 5 because 'A, C and E' have no errors. In 'B' the correct
word (adverb) is 'overpoweringly' and not 'overpowering'. In 'D' it
should be 'would look', since the sentence is in past tense.
(3)Option 4
The
correct option is 4. A, C and E don't have any grammatical error. In
'D' it should be 'people look like..' not '..alike', because 'alike' is
incorrect contextually. In 'B' it should be 'caricatures' and not
'caricature
(4)Option 2
The correct option is 2.
There are no errors in B, C and D. A is incorrect because it should be
'sightings' not 'sighting' since it is referring to more than one
situation, that is 'dawn and dusk animal '. E is incorrect because
'both' should precede 'physically and mentally', since 'both' is a
distributive pronoun.
