I have downloaded the form from google docs ... but since the site is not working i dont know the instructions, if someone has saved it, could u pls put it here ? will b/w form be ok ??
@seniors - please help about cat percentile, what to fill in there ??
here is the message pasted on the dce.edu and you have to wait for further clarification regarding the section cat percentile in the admission form
From the dce website Important Note Due to the delay in the declaration of CAT 2009 result, the last date for submission of the application will be notified after the declaration of the CAT 2009 result.
Candidates are hence requested to check this web page for the revised last date of submission of application after the declaration of the CAT 2009 result.
Approximately two weeks will be given after the declaration of the CAT 2009 result for submitting the applications.;)

Hey DSM Seniors, if you guys could throw some light on this.
Yesterday i happen to read India Today Aspire (The supplement with India Today). It mentioned the average salary to be somewhere around 11 - 12 Lakhs per annum. AFAIK, the first batch is yet to be placed. Any clue on how they came up with thsi figure. Or am i mistaken in asssuming this is the first batch. Also, what kind of companies are students interning in and what kind of profiles?

you may call it a publicity ..but Times Ascent first categorized our college on some parameters and then it put us on rank 3...and our college is govt affiliated and not a one run by an industrialist so .. times Ascent must have found it so much worth thus they have put the values.. Anyways i have put some photos for you all to view about the college...i would be putting some more after some time Picasa Web Albums - prashant.it2009 - DSM-DTU

Well I kinda think it's unfair to put salary figures on a guesstimate. However, that is the reason I asked about Summers. That should help. Prashant, could you throw some light on that?

hi you are definitely right that's its quite unfair to put the salary figures on the basis of guess ...but India Today would be more Authentic and viable to answer this question than me ..but i can definitely answer ur question regarding the internship... companies have started visiting..for the workshops and they would be visiting the campus for internships from 1st week of feb ... Dear friends.....let me put everything in simple words...see this thread is not to attract you, i just thought to solve the queries of people who may be interested in admission.... Secondly if you will research some how, then our batch was started somehow at the end of august, and still we are having a great support from the corporates.. So it's a good option as per my opinion is concerned and the rest i leave it to you as u all are well mature...right

Hey Prashant dude, that's quite understood. PG is one of the better forums for us to reach the students at DSM and get a first hand view of how things are there. Since it's a new institute , it does arouse a lot of curiosity. But thank you for all your inputs :). Really appreciated. Moreover, I would trust what you guys say than what a magazine says. And more than the salary figures , what would be interesting would be to know the kind of education, faculty, student profile etc. That would be more valuable. Of course Salary Does Matter and I am no saint.
Thanks "enjoyforprashat" for answering my query For all Puys, best of luck, i think a percentile of 85+ will be enough, and with the fees structure and brandname, doing an MBA from DTU will pay us dividends in the yrs to come. SO cheer up
Nyways, time for some query, Somebody plz upload some probable topics or domain for GD/PI in DSM-DTU Regrds

a reminder to my earlier query
and query 2--- b/w printout is ok ??? or colored one is required
B/w form is definately ok ,but do paste a recent and coloured photograph...
Now the GD/PI one......i have already give some pt's regarding PI ,so go through them in earlier posts and if you still have query do post i would be willing to help Now the Gd topics would also be one which can be understood by all..so something General They opted for a Chit system in our time i.e. where we have to pick one slip from many slips and if the whole group agrees then we proceeded with that topic otherwise another slip is picked and that was definite.
In all GD's as per my knowledge topics were on :- Government Reforms 2. Education System 3. climate
So prepare the current topics and i believe u all will do well in GD/PI
Last year the admission notification duration was for 12 days only and that too in July and also being the First batch many were not aware of it. So the cutoff was around 82 percentile with max. of 97 percentile.
But this year it is expected to be around 88- 90 percentile for General
Was the Cutoff a confirmation from the inner sources in administration. I wonder why the cutoff will shoot by 8 percentile. But on the positive note, a pool of high percentilers will do good to the Institute's reputation:cheerio:
A minor correction.. 3. Fees factor - One of the best ROI. It is a hell lot better option than shelling out 8-9 lacks in a mediocre private institute.
4. The 7 decade old legacy of DCE won't let it down. Since its eligibility is same as JMET , I am sure that it will be as good and sought after institute as the IITs for MBA in the near future.
I wonder whether DSM DTU will be considered at par with IITs during our tenure as MBA students But ROI is definitely the best in India, only barring the DU-MBA courses Hopefully can make it to this college, wish me luck:lookround:
Hey rejaulmeister, The brand of any institute is built primarily of the quality of their students only. With all its infrastructure in place, DSM is making sure that only quality students with sound technical and academic background are admitted here.
For this DSM is conducting GD/ PI for 5 full days for 60 students this year. So don't be surprised if any high 90's percentiler not able to get through if he falters there.
All these steps are in the right direction to make it a reputed institute.
Thank you Sir, for answering my query. I had some questions in mind. Sir, I have passed my B.E in I.T from an AICTE recognised college in India, but my degree awarding University is Staffordshire University, UK. Will I be elligible for this MBA program. And one more query, do I have to know every nook and corner about my technical background(cause I apprehend the interviewer would be professors from DCE itself)for tricky questions or a basic knowledge will do. Please give me some idea. I am currently revising C,Java, Networking. Will that suffice or will I have to go through other subjects, plz mention

Hi abhishek, First of all there is no such thing as profile for selection in a particular specialization and till our time it is upto the interest of the student which branch he wants to opt for... As per my knowledge these courses are only conducted by IIT's and NITIE and still there is a great shortage of specialized technocrat managers ...so i would say there is definitely a large scope for every branch..just see where your interest is.. and third part is really a difficult one so i would request you to be somehow specific... Ya u have got it right that in 4th sem, u can opt from the above three mentioned as your minor subject.... I believe i must have solved your query ..if you require any further info ...do let me know...
