Hi,

Can anyone please tell me if for the Work Experience, attested copy of Employee ID and Salary Certificate containing Date of Joining would do?

Is it mandatory to get the Offer Letter in such a case?

Thanks.

@stiffler010Why is that? When did you finish your college? Each university has to provide degree certificates in due course. Seeing that its January, your course most likely finished in April-May. Assuming results came in June-August at max, your convocation should have been held under normal circumstances.As for the questioon, provisional certificate is fine if your University hasnt provided a Degree Certificate till now. In any case please carry your marksheets along with you (both consolidated and individual semester marksheets). Inform the panel that Degree Certificate will not be available before such and such date.For the interview the provisional would work but your admissions is granted solely based on the fact that you can furnish the necessary documents in original, one of which is your degree certificate.
sir my univeristy is RTU... it generally gives degree in 3 years... i didn't get any consolidated marksheet n u won't believe they haven't given us even our 3rd sem re evaluation marksheet yet... now u can understand when i will get degree certificate n consolidated marksheet

Anybody without admit card...going for the pune GDPI...

I have my gdpi in banglore.....

Please let me know if they allow us to attend....

@stiffler010

Seems very weird. Universities normally do not act this way. I would suggest going and raising the issue with your HOD or with the Office and asking them for a fast-track degree issue. It is your right to get a degree and your marksheets. beg initially but you can threaten them with a case. They cannot potentially interfere with your fiture.

These are the documents allowed:
Work Experience Certificate(if applicable) The following documents will be considered :For previous companies Joining Letter and Relieving Letter / Work Experience Certificate (should have both joining and relieving dates) For Present Company Work Experience Certificate(should have joining date)/ Joining Letter along with latest salary slip plus employee ID
If you're still working, simply apply for a Bonafide certificate. Every company's HR gives you that. If you do not wish to tell the company about your MBA, just tell them that you need it to submit along with your House Rent Agreement or for your Passport.
Bonafide should do since it contains the joining date. Salary slip is fine. In my opinion both of those should be fine although I cannot tell you with conviction since I'm an alumnus now. I'll wait for @nikhilbrad to answer

@stiffler010

I do.

So why dont you contact the university. If the degree certificates are ready and have been handed out in other colleges, that means that the certificates are ready. Every university has a method to issue duplicate certificates to students since they have it on record. Just go and tell the University Office that you've lost your marksheet and degree certificate and would need it asap. Should cost you about 200-500 bucks for a re-issue but at least it eases your tension.

sir ji i have sent a letter to them... lets see when reply comes... but i can attented the ge pi now on the basis of provisional na... ya vo nh chlega

@stiffler010

Provisional works for now.

ALso one word of advice. Letters dont get you anywhere in this world. They have most probably thrown your letter out the window.

Check the numbers and start calling. Your degree is your right.

@stiffler010

Also I see your last convocation for 2011 passouts was held on 3rd March, 2012. Ask around for this year's convocation. They will be issuing the degree certificates in your Convo.

I had a query... how good is HR in SIBM-B considering I want to pursue my MBA only in HR. Can you elaborate a bit regarding the companies that come for the placement, the average placement statistics as well as if there are 100% placements in HR.

@dhops

See the course content in SIBM-B is structured in a way where you get an overall understanding of what an MBA is. To facilitate this, the first year (Sem I and Sem II) are same for everybody. Which meane you will all be together, irrespective of what you wish to specialize in. By the end of Sem II you will be asked for your choice. 2nd Year is when you will be split by specializationa nd will now undergo specialization specific courses. We had 3 electives in Sem III and 2 in Sem IV while I was studying. The electives can be chosen from any stream you want. Consider it as something of a minor specialization although you do not officially get any recognition for doing electives from a different stream.

In any case, the electives include subjects from Finance, Operations, HR and Marketing. The curriculum can be viewed on our website.

As for placements, I'm not sure about the figures for this year but it's generally good. HR batches have historically been small batches and hence a list of good companies come in first and the candidates can choose which to sit for. Salaries are on par with the average. Roles offered include Training, Comp & Ben (very few), condulting etc. I believe this year's Placement Report would shed more light on the matter.

Is there any way I can change my GE/PI date from 24th to 23rd Feb in Bangalore??I have got CMAT on 24th Feb...Please reply
@kshitijsharma ,@princekumar0207 ::Please reply...

@kurtcobain07

Sorry but I missed out on that post. No idea from our side. You will either have to contact the Admissions Office by phone and present them with a valid reason for shifting the date or you can send in a mail which would take time.

I would say call them asap

Hi All,
Just to inform you, carrying the stamped admit card is mandatory for the GE/PI session. In case you don't have it, we cannot assure you that you will be allowed to sit through the process. Wish you all the best!
