I have been looking at previous year's threads and i could gather that last year waitlist had abt 300 people all of which got a chance of take admission and the list got exhausted.This happened in 2014 as well where the batch strength fell short(79).Hence this year the waitlist has been extended to 400 candidates ( the last i saw was 383 so 400 is a good estimate).Seats have been increased in a few better colleges as well.So do you guys think people like me (w/l 306) stand a chance to get admission this year? Share your views
What is the reason that the waitlist at SJMSOM moves by such a big number, despite of it being one of the top B-schools in India?

I understand that for operation SJMSOM Is ahead of new iims..but for marketing profile will it better to join iim Ranchi?? N.b: wait listed in sjmsom(91).. And would consider only chosing Ranchi over this...

I understand that it is not a gud idea to compare colleges... but when we visit few websites they give different rankings and there wont be any correlation of one college ranking present in one website compared to another. What is the best way to understand and get genuine data abt colleges.??
