Is being a fresher a disadvantage in a b-school like SOM. Also I have no IT background, Will it cause any problem during internships/Placements ?

So I am waitlisted at SOM expecting to clear and converted new IIMs and IIFT K.This was my first attempt .Now my predicament is should i join a B School this year or try again next time. Ofcourse a bird in hand is better than two in bush and also after facing a lot of rejects in both MBA and job interviews i am kind of reluctant to try again.But i am sure to repeat my 99.5+ CAT performance somehow.Do not have stellar acads or an IIT tag just grit and determination to keep acing the billi and getting into Fin.I guess this question has been asked umpteen times and i myself use to ignore these questions on PG (i have made this id just for this qstn. so actually i am an old PG guy)thinking that you are your own best judge but when it comes to taking decsion on your own its difficult .So guys please if anyone is in my situation or was in the same please narrate your experience or dilemna. And anyone else willing to do bakar,post gyaan on this post is most welcome .TIA PG community 🙏
