nd ya i cudnt include one piece of info in the appl form,one of my papers was selected for a conference in athens( got 2 know it only in dec),lekin my coll mgmt didnt sponsor me.so cudnt attnd it nd hence dnt h've ne certificate for tat.jus a print out of a letter with a strange name nd sign on it. do i mention this during the interview?coz unhe tho lagega ki im fakin it,nebody can get such a print-out..

Hey u can surely mention that in the interview. Let them also know the reason why u cud not make it...but in a diplomatic way...donot put blames on the college....remember u r trying to enter another college....
If you are good enugh in interview donot see any reason why they wud not believe u when u mention the paper wala thing...

i have written decent essays.......ok acads....with 3.5 years job-ex in operation but given marketing as 1st preference...and operation as seccond.......

cool man.....was looking to see if this scenario existed.....at least for me u r the first guy on PG to get a call for the 2nd preference.....operations requires work-ex and may be they already handed out enuf mktg calls in the first list by the time they got to ur appln.....r u disspointed?? i know it is ur second preference but it is still ur preference so cheer up and give it ur best shot...... 😁

when i chekd the results on 1st it was showing not qualified.but i have heard that they have added some 100 plus to the original list.i guess the number of candi's in first list be around 500+
Does the 2nd list imply only our second preferences will be considered? Or is it that the seats remaining in every major will be distributed. How does this system of 2 lists work?

As far as 2 lists are concerned, i had sent a mail regarding clarifications from spjimr. They replied on the same day.
now what they said is that the 1st list is a random list of people who will be getting a call. There is no priority between 1st list and 2nd list. It is just there way to get the whole process running.
Hope this will clear most of the confusion

I agree with AJ there is no ways SP would give calls at random....... I guess they could have done it according to the specialisation. or maybe this list was based upon the CAT scores and in the next one they might give calls to candidates with good work background and who have written great essays.......... casue SP always gives calls based on essays even at low percentile....
so eveyone who has not got a call .......... hold on you guys may just make it through

So many people have called and got varied response. Some said the list is gonna be out, some say it won't....we shud be able to conclude on thing...
The people at colleges who wud have recd the phone call frm concerned students wud themselves not know the entire process.
Plus they wud have given diplomatic answers just to make sure that you don't call them up again or they don't tell something for which they are not authorized. So please relax....calling spj or other insti is not gonna result in anything. Whatever has happened we cannot change, only thing we can do is wait for the call and comment on them once we receive them.

See... it is true that SPJIMR has a flare for experienced people but in our batch there have been a lot of freshers (check brochure for details)....
As regards your Fin ke funde.....I think you should know about some basic stuff for sure and if u r a fresher, your acads is probably the only thing you have apart from your essays and extra-curriculars.....so at least prepare one subject thoroughly from Engg.....
And Freshers are not ignored in the interview..... dont worry about that.....
