i have a doubt.. how come the link of mandatory disclosure for both the colleges of BIMM and BIIB isnt working.. im a bit skeptical about applying here.. also can some one please shed some light on how much package can a fresher expect ?
also.. wats the MAT to CAT conversion formula BIMM uses ?
Thanks..
thanks arpit for all ur valuable suggestion..............:clap:
i have complted my BE form pune university in 2009
i have 89% in 10th cbse, 75% in 12th cbse, n scored 91%ile in MAT dec09
and have few certificates of college fest in national level robotics and GD-pI
what are my chances of converting if i get a call.......and one more query is tht in 2009 if the average package is near abt 4.5 so wht do u think by d time 2010 batch get placed the average package is abt to increase more than 4.5........if so then in tht case the return of investment would be good??? need ur help.....plz reply ...thx a lot:D
You have very good chances of converting the call... do apply for sure...
I need to correct you a bit that average package TILL DATE is 4.0-4.5...it may move up or go down as more and more companies visit the campus...every year there are around 100 of them lined up....
And to correct you again...its the 2010 batch getting placed right now...they are supposed to pass out in June 2010..
As far as the offerings in 2011 or 2012 is concerned... we positively hope for even better offers as the economy is back on track and there is still one more year to go.. and as fee structure remains the same the return of investment is obviously going to shoot up...

Do apply for the college... You have very good chances provided you perform well at GD and PI..
All the colleges have more or less the same reputation.. its solely your decision that in which stream you want to pursue your MBA. In general BIMM is oldest of the four.
As you are an engineer, you may apply to course which focus on engineers like PGDM (Telecom) at BITM or PGDM (IT & Marketing) at BIMM.
There will be no correspondence to you until you purchase the form and apply for the college. The form for all the four colleges is same i.e. you purchase one form worth Rs 1500 and you apply to all the four college. The form will ask your preference.
Further communications will be made to you predominantly by email and a couple of times by post.
The application form can be downloaded too.
thank u arpit:clap:

All I want to say is that with a MAT score of 91 percentile and decent academic record, this is one of the best options you have.
I don't deny that there aren't better colleges...but for that you should wait for your CAT score.. Even then if you have a CAT score of around 80.. SBS colleges still remain in the list..

Hey thanx for quick reply........
I wanna do MBA in Finance ,so can you now suggest me the priority
Hey thanx for quick reply........
I wanna do MBA in Finance ,so can you now suggest me the priority
Finance as an specialization is only in BIMM and BIIB....
The courses which offer Finance are - PGDM (freshers) & PGDM (executive) at BIMM and PGDM (Finance) at BIIB. PGDM (executive) is only for people with work ex.
You can attach both the scores...the best one will be considered...
As far as your academics are concerned... 60 is the minimum eligibility.. I hope your 10th % is 60 and not 58.8 (which rounds off to 60) which makes you ineligible...
If its 60+ throughout... then you must apply as you have high scores in aptitude test...
well its 60.4% in 10th, 80.4% in 12th and 61.05% in B.com
1 more thing, can u plz share ur profile i mean ur academics score, ur aptitude score n how ur gd/pi went so dat i can atleast get a hint of actually wat sort of profile n performance in gd/pi wud b required to convert d call
personally out of BIMM & BIIB which one should be given higher priority.........do u think I stand a chance in them.......Thanks 4 quick reply.........
prateekvarshney Sayspersonally out of BIMM & BIIB which one should be given higher priority.........do u think I stand a chance in them.......Thanks 4 quick reply.........
hi this is Arpit's classmate.... well i would suggest You to give higher priority to BIMM n next to BIIB....
as Your academics r good, i would say You hav high chances of gettin atleast into BIIB if not in BIMM. that again also depends upon Your GDPI performance
well All the very best!! hope You'r satisfied with the reply
evn if not,m sure Arpit will revert back soon...

If you are absolutely sure to do MBA in Finance then you can apply for either of the course.
However if you are skeptical about your decision, then too give a higher preference to PGDM (freshers) at BIMM coz you get an option to choose your specialization later in this course.
well its 60.4% in 10th, 80.4% in 12th and 61.05% in B.com
1 more thing, can u plz share ur profile i mean ur academics score, ur aptitude score n how ur gd/pi went so dat i can atleast get a hint of actually wat sort of profile n performance in gd/pi wud b required to convert d call
My profile :
10th - 80%
12th - 85%
Graduation (B.Sc. Honours) - 74%
CAT Score - 77.8 %tile
MAT Score - 95 %tile
SNAP - 67.5 marks - Call from SIIB - MBA (Agri)
I attached all my score cards.. I don't know which one did they considered.
Major highlights in my CV during admission was - a national level certificate in Mountaineering, prizes in debates, essay writing and group dance at University (BHU). I was a member University Basketball Team....and Merit recognition certificate from NIIT for high IT aptitude..
Groups were formed at the GDPI center...few groups faced GD and few had to play a skit in a short span of 10 mins.
My group got the skit. We were around 8-10 and we were given 10 mins to prepare on the topic 'Love Story'.
I played the lead role in the skit. My PI was so-so as I expected questions from the corporate world and was prepared for it but the interviewer started asking questions on academics... Luckily I was comfortable with the questions he threw.
hi
my mat score 676.7
10th 85.3
12th 89.3

jeet1020 SaysThanks buddy you are of great help. Could you suggest what can expect on with my profile. Total work ex 5yrs.1.5 yrs as Online game Tester, 3yrs with IBM Daksh as Sr. Tech Specialist (worked for helwett packard), Now with another IT company as server support specialist. Last year I had offers from IBS hyderabad(executive batch-1yr), Xime banglore(executive batch-15 months), again will be applying to these collages along with BIMM.could you please suggest which one to go for.and to add my current package is 4.2. considering these factors could you suggest how beneficial would be bimm for me.
Hi Jeet,
If you are in a hurry to do your MBA, then surely i would recommend XIME or IBS. But if you want holistic learning, then do join SBS. Ours is a no-nonsense course with in-depth learning of all topics. Other 1 year Exe courses assume that we know most of the managerial things, and just touch upon most the subjects.
Also do the cost-benefit analysis. SBS course costs 5 lacs for 2 years, while others charge 6lac+ for 1 year. You need not be concerned about placements, due to the work ex factor.
All the best!!!
