received a memorandum from ssc (er)....important..

guys i received a memorandum letter stating that:


With reference to his application for the subject mentioned examination (cgl), the candidate is hereby informed that consequent upon his qualifying the exam he has been nominated to "the office of the director general of income tax (hrd), icadr bldg. Plot 6, vasant kunj institutional area, phase 2, new delhi 110070, for appointment as iti subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria etc."

the department will issue the offer of appointment to him after verification of eligibility criteria etc.

Don't worry it is just your duty.You are not missing anything.After a few days you will receive a nomination letter from ssc just for your information that your name had nominated.Then probably you will get your zone allocation also if it announces by 15/5 as said by friends here.

I was going through the CGL 10 GA paper and I found it very tough!
How many you guys attempted out of 50?How many wud be ideal attempts?

bro, since last year, there was no negative marking i attempted almost all the questions.......the ones which i couldn't solve , i made a wild guess.....:P :P.........i got 130/200 in tier 1.
This time, since there is negative marking , one must be careful. Since marks of tier 1 are also counted in total marks, so in my opinion around 35/50 correct attempts would be sufficient to take you to the next level. But then again, this is my personal opinion.

some friend on orkut community are saying that zone allocation has been done. It's just that they are taking time in uploading the same on website. Though, i can't vouch for the authenticity of the information..

If it has done then it would have been uploaded.If done unofficially then how could they know?It takes not much time to upload.

I think we should be patient till 15th. Deciding the posting doesn't take time as they'll be running an algorithm. But they require approvals, verifications and re-approvals. Takes some time.

as far as i understand, there is every possibility of getting lucknow itself,,even if u fall in ur....ATB

The list probably contains the names of those candidates who have been called to fill up either extra posts or posts which have been vacated due to some other circumstances from the side of the candidates selected earlier. Just...maybe
