Cut off will not be more than 420 for interview post for UR candidate as: IN CGL 2013: 102(tier 1) +318=420.....last year both maths & english papers were easy of all regions...many students got more than 195 in maths....but still tier 2 requirement could go up by 318 marks....... This CGL 14: 96.5(tier 1) + tier 2........I agree that many students will score high in maths ...above 180 types in delhi........but they wont be able to score that high in english.....In mumbai many people will score above 180 in english...still overal you can increase tier 2 requirment by 7 marks...I.e 325... Ultimately cut off could remain in 420-425 range for IP UR.........fingers crossed....

*** Regarding Scaling, Normalisation & Equalisation in SSC Exams
Some dissatisfied candidates are saying that there should be scaling process in SSC exams; All are saying that level of exam of their region was tougher than other region & some are fighting & abusing other Region candidates other bullshit like this.
SSC does not follow any scaling rule & may be it will not introduce any scaling in SSC CGL 2014, as process of CGL 2014 is in half way. And most relevant truth is everybody finds others paper easy as they have not any exam pressure of solving paper against time while checking other region. i dont know why people here are so optimistic about cutoff, tht is should be below 420.
math paper of nr was very easy if 5000 ur score above 175 (which is very easy)
english nt so tough as they are saying 150-160
so tier 2 = 325-335
now i think 125 above are 5000 in pre
cutoff = 325+125= 450 (remember cutoff is decided by highscorer not avg student.
so its upto u what u want.... 2013 main humne koi kami nhi chodi ab tum kyu peeche ho dosto...

Good morning everyone,with ssc exam turning out to be more of a lottery rather than test of calibre i won't be surprised if cut off touches 445 ...no, it is not an exaggeration and i will tell u why a cursory glance at the math paper of northern region will tell u that scoring 180 is pretty easy..while scoring 160 would have been a herculian task for non delhi people..so a person who had his exam on 19 th morning and apperared in ter 2 from non delhi centre is as good as out from the race..now scoring 125+170+160 should be average score for the people who had his exam on 26 th oct and had his tier 2 from northern region which effectively puts them at an advantage of 25 marks if not less...so until and unless there is no normalisation most of the people who fall into (non 19 th+northern region) would score more than 450 which effectively puts us out of the race...p.s-i'm myself from delhi and have no grudges against delhidelhi people i had my exam on 19 th morning and tier 2 from north east region..and despite scoring 441 i'm pretty much out of the race

Puys, I have done both papers of Maths. I agree that 15 marks difference was there in papers. But students who are worried about cutoffs and cursing their luck and all, I would like to make some points--
1. This year's EASY maths paper was very similar to 2013 paper. Only 1433 scored above 175 and just 6300+ scored above 160 in that one. There is no way cutoff will jump off as people are predicting.
2. English paper was at par in both regions. Only 2500 students scored more than 150 in 2013 CGL paper. People might say that this paper was too easy but i would disagree. Sections like para-jumble might be easy but error-finding section and comprehensions were tricky and challenging.
3. Last year 1.35 lakhs gave tier-2. This year 1.14 lakhs have tried their luck. Also, number of posts are more in CGL-14. So, Cutoffs will not jump as people are predicting.
4. I empathize with students who are not from Delhi region. They feel cheated but things are not bad as they seem. Before result comes out, people lie and distract each other and blame everyone rather their own performance. BEST OF LUCK.

Kindly Attention....Gentlemen....If No Normalization is done.....then outside delhi people forget any post..leave aside IP...Had talk with 5-6 Delhi friend...they say they had the easiest paper in the history....350 will be cake for most of delhi students in tier 2...cut off can even reach 470 after talking to them.... Brothers let us unite & impose Normalization. ...just start the revolution....Only Delhi people are in opposition of Normalization....it is do or die.......& Last thing all those from outside delhi feeling happy at 450 can get shock of their life....so please....please Unite & start protest for normalization. ..
