My DEST experience! (NR)
i had my dest venue at Janakpuri, reporting time was 9, got there by 8:45 and entry started by 8:50, they take you to a waiting room according to your batch number, there you receive an admit card,have to put thumb impression on it and sign the attendance sheet, then you have to register with them as they call your name, after registration is over, you will get a slip.
Documents needed- just the admit card, they dint even check the two pages i got from DV and a photo.
Well, after everyone is registered,they take you the room and you have to sit at the computer allotted to you, initially they give you a trail passage and hence u get the trail of 2 minutes, after that u get the actual passage, DON'T click on actual passage before getting the printout copy of actual passage,or else your time will start.
Well the passage that came was pretty simple,no numerals,just a few hard words, I typed mine and still had 6 minutes left,so checked it once,most people were getting it done in 10-11 minutes. since the passage is easy, the competition will be tough.
DON'T panic seeing others. The keyboards they had were of DELL,luckily i had the same key board at home and had gotten a bit used to it,so helped me a bit.
After that,when the time is over, you get the print out of what you have typed with a blank sheet, you have to write two lines on it in running hand, put your signature, name, roll no and date. The whole process took 1.5 hours.
Those who are considering getting a keyboard to practice, get the DELL one, will help u accustom better and quicker..ALL THE BEST TO ALL..:)
I scored 393 in T1+T2 in OBC ...
OBC cutoff was IP-398.75 & NIP-365.

Anyone who had given interview last tym, can they post how their interview went and how many marks they were given by the board? I mean everyone here says average interview marks are 50-55, but I want to know what blunder do those people commit who get 35-45 marks..do they contradict board members/fight with them or what? Aisi kya harkat karte hain ki itne kum marks milte hai.
May I know in which states Divisional Accountant job was there..little bit confused whether it is there in my state or not.

Is there anyone one this group who has given DEST in both 2013 and this year, if so, please comment about the difficulty level from last year to this, is it that, this year the passage being provided is very easy as compared to last year, then margin for error will be very less, isn't it?
