Squaring a number between 40 and 50. E.g. : 46.
Note: The answer will be a 4 digit number.
Step 1: Find the difference between 50 and the input number (i.e. a number between 40 and 50). Here it is 50-46=4.
Step 2: Now subtract the above number from 25. (25-4=21). This makes the first two digits of the answer.
So the answer is of the form 2 1 _ _ .
Step 3: Now square the digit obtained in step 1.
( 4^2= 16)
This makes the last two digits of the answer.
So the answer is 2116.
Similarly,
42^2= 1764.
48^2= 2304.
Generalizing,
