My analysis after appearing for Shift 3 on 12/8/17:
1. Paper was significantly difficult than 2016 paper. Cut-off will be atleast 10% less. Even English was tougher than 2016.
2. 2016-75minutes; 2017-60min => Cutoff approx 80%
3. Obviously, competition will increase as posts are lesser => Cutoff = 10% increase
Summing up, Cutoff will be 0.9 X 0.8 X 1.1 X 137 = 108-110 (for General)
P.S: It is a pity that SSC is incapable of normalising scores in this Digital age. Somebody ought to take that up in Court so that injustice doesn't happen atleast from the next year.
Last year average attempts 85 to 95+ , this year average attempts? For 5th August to 12th August candidates only .
