Dosto jankar my getting examiner..in 2012 they got clerical work....in office not in the Field aaj bhi Mumbai mein clerical work kr rhe hai....wah examiner wah....hate SSC...Dosto leaving SSC hamesa ke tum lo naukari lo aur kro SSC mein naukari..
I am getting around 425 OBC.. Given the fewer number of vacancies, I am really starting to get worried. I would request seasoned guys to come forward and give their honest opinions as to what, if anything, I will get in the worst case. Can't wait to hear your responses.

At first sorry for late reply to the ones who have messaged me asking about the preparation. Cudnt tag you people from my android app.For you all and the SSC newbies. The following things may prove successful to you for total SSC CGL preparation : 1. Reasoning : Practise 250-300 sequence and series type of questions v.i.z Series Completion, Analogy, other Number related questions. For rest of the reasoning part, go for mock practise atleast 20 papers. If possible go for Paramount Coaching mocks, else Kiran publications will do. 2. General Studies : The part of General Studies is unpredictable and no one can go for 100% . If you interpret GS through reasoning, you can solve a majority of the questions. There may be 10+ questions which you know. For more get connections among options. Suppose, (1) Xingxong (imaginary) river is in which state? From name itself you may get the idea that it may be from a state which has got Himalayan touch or north eastern states. (2) a date or event is given, relate to information you know and this way you can cancel out some of the options. Remember : This sort of guess works only for 4 optioned questions and to be an expert go for mock papers and find out how good you are at this, before applying at the exam. 3. English : For English instead of going for syn/ant go for direct word meaning. For material, google and search pdf for (a) 1000 SAT vocab (b) idioms list (c) one word substitution. The same pdfs are available on every site. In addition, collect SSC past years syn/ant. After that, the small books of Chiristropher Phoenix is beneficial. For Error Correction, go for Kiran mocks, there reason is also provided. Write those rules seperately and practise the mocks. For rest of the parts, Kiran or Paramount, either will do. 4. Maths : As Trigo, Geo, Algebra constitutes 35-40 percent, practise them from SPECIAL ATTRACTION part of Kiran's Quantitatve Ability. Make boats streams, train platform sums sure, as these are less in variation. Practise rest of the chapters from Kiran or paramount.--M.tyra is beneficial for shortcuts. But learn only those which you can carry to the exam. Else the confusion can be a disaster. For maths Paramount mock is the best. TIME MANAGEMENT : TIER 1 : Try very hard to complete the reasoning part within 20 minutes. Atleast max of the sums. Move on to English 15 mins. Den GS 10 mins. Now come back and complete reasoning and other left parts 10 mins. Now start bubbling 150 ques- 5 mins. 1 hour gone. Now go to Maths 45 mins. Start bubbling 5 mins. Now in last 10 minutes. Do one sum and bubble it, continue till last minute. This way you can utilize time efficiently. TO GAIN SPEED : For TIER 1, you can practise mocks section wise. But atleast 10-15 full mocks WITH OMR are required before exam to gain speed. For TIER 2 Maths, practise 25-30 mocks just before the exam in the exact manner as exam WITH OMR. Paramount is the best here. Try to complete the mocks within 110 minutes with bubbling. For TIER 2 English, mocks are not required as a whole, prepare your weak points seperately.

Govt is trying to improve the recruitment process.. this is a good news for us... but
With old machinery, its not possible, UPSC is very strict at this matter and tries to complete within 1 Year, from advertisement to result.... In SSC There has been instances that many who have already got a job, are again taking exam year on year (they have right to take exam) and if they get same job or any job equivalent to their current post , they dont join, needy people dont get any job and departments face problems due to lack of man power... so SSC should take info from them whether they are joining or not so that people who are just below the last cut off can come forward, as they were refused post because of just .25 marks or more... so there should be bi-annual exam for those who want to take, for all those who are below cut off to fill the post... it could be like people within 10 marks of cut off can apply... in this way we can fill vacancies year by year and people dont have to wait for one year to get a job... those who are willing to work at lower jobs should be given by 2nd exam.... so instead of making 6 months cycle( which is not possible with old machinery), govt should fill post in this way and improve the current machinery meanwhile... well this was just an idea, whole thing can be worked out by an expert committee or some body.... should we make a request in this regard to Govt..
