I have one question if anyone can clarify . I am in IP as well as NIp list . Will I need to appear for interview as well as computer typing test for NIP? After this I have filled preference for CSS as well . Will I need to appear in its CPT test again and what is the complete procedure for me . Thanks in advance puys

INTERVIEW preparation
===================
For interview preparation following these may prove successful.
1. First of all, carry a palm size Diary with you till your interview, wherever you go.
2. Get 10 A4 size papers, each with a different heading( say, Current Affairs as a whole, Your Graduation, Work experience, Banking and common economic concepts and terms, Your State District and City/town, )
3. Try to find out more questions on these different headings that the interviewers may ask you. Whenever a question comes in your mind, note it down in the palm size diary and when you come back home, note down the question on the corresponding A4.
The A4 should have headings as such:
(a) CURRENT AFFAIRS. It may contain questions as:
- Different schemes started by the ruling government.
-All socio,political,economicquestions related to Current Affairs.
-Prizes,FilmFare.
(b) YOUR STATE:
-Ministers, Cabinet Ministers, CM, first CM, Governor, first Governor.
-Places of Cultural and Religious importance.
-National parks,Sanctuaries, Flora Fauna.
-Districts, Your District.
-Population, Sex ratio of your District, Town and State. CENSUS 2011
-Geography and Climate.
-History of your State.
-Problems in your State, If any, their origin.
-Land boundary
-Important tribes, dances, festivals, rivers, ranges, freedom fighters,famous actors actress, authors, writers.
-If there is any special provision for your state in our CONSTITUTION.
-CURRENT AFFAIRS of your State.
(c) GRADUATION: Say you did Engineering from CS/IT.
They will ask basic questions from your subject. Say they may ask you to draw Logic gates. Basic basic questions on DBMS, NETWORKING(LAN, TOPOLOGY, etc). See the 4-5 people who are there in the panel are not engineers. One will be from Commerce, one from Arts and one from say Science. He knows only basic basic things.But he can gather info on CURRENT topics. So, you must be very much acquinted with the CURRENT INNOVATIONS/ AFFAIRS in your field. He may ask you from Highlighted topics.
(d) WORK EXPERIENCE:
Try to make this section more interresting so that the interviewer gains more interest to know about your job. Pass your time here. Remember: Its the place where he knows nothing about you, whatever you say its taken to be correct, but be honest. This sections may increase your score.
(e) Now, Extra Curriculars. say FINE ARTS
-Imp academies and their heads. like LALITKALA ART ACADEMYand ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS, kolkata
-Different forms of Arts, IF you have Diploma here then different subjects studied.
-Your genre of Excellence. Questions on that genre.
-Famous painters, their life, their paintings.( Do read about VINCI, his MONA LISA and LAST SUPPER)
-Famous painters from your STATE.
-Modern ART, Sculpture, Calligraphy, Mix Media, Style of INDIAN painting, Western painting.
-FOLK ART. GANDHARVA ART SCHOOL.
-Do read on MF HUSSAIN and his life. (Remember Rabindranath was known for best MODERN art)
(f) Say MUSIC:
-Different forms of Music.
-Your genre of Music(SUFI, KAWALI, GHAZZAL, SOFT, ROMANTIC, ROCK, POP)
-Important singers of your genre( specially from your STATE)
-Definition of SUR, TAAL, LAYE and its relation with SCIENCE, SOUND, HARMONICS. He may suddenly jump to TUNING FORK experiment.
-CURRENT AFFAIRS related to MUSIC specially your genre.
-IF your genre is SUFI( get info on RAHAT, KAILASH KHER, ABIDA PARVIN ), if its GHAZZAL( info on MEHDI HASSAN, CHOTE GHULAM ALI, BADE GHULAM ALI, PANKAJ UDHAS, JAGJIT), IF its KAWALI( NUSRAT F A KHAN)
(g) Now say SPORTS:
-IF its swimming, different STROKES, World Records, and other info.
-If its Badminton Tennis, know about rules, RECORDS, famous players and other info.
(h) YOU may write READING NOVELS but:
-Dont write reading novels, write (say) reading novels of PAULO COELHO. Then his scope of question will be less.
-Read Summaries of two novels of your writer.
NOW some strategies:
(1) Remember INTERVIEW is the only exam where you decide what you want your interviewer to ask you. Here your answer decides his next question. Answer in such a way that he gets bound to ask you the question, whose answer you know well.
(2)When asked for Weak points, dont say something that is harmful for the department, say something which they are least bothered with. LIke dont say I am emotional or m not that good in Group tasking, i cant mix well. Say something as " Sir I was not that good in singing dancing like my group friends in school college, so i was less popular". He is least bothered with your singing and dancing.
For strong points, try to avoid writing which they are least bothered with, Write something they want from you, say I am good in Group work.
(3) Dont boast out . Suppose you want to let him know that you got a gold medal in ART Competition. Dont say it directly. When comes to ART, answer in such a way so that he gives you a passage to speak out that you achieved something.
(4) Dont be Rude. I was asked " Name 3 hills of Assam which also has 3 tribes on their names" I knew they are GARO, KHASI, JAINTIA but in MEGHALAYA. Assam has no such hills. EVEN he knows that. I once said "Sir As much as I know they are in MEGH". They said "As much as we know, they are in ASSAM". Then I said" Sorry Sir, I dont know then, the answer."... This is TEST of PATIENCE.
(5) IF you are BSC. They may knowingly say" Ok, SO you are Btech". Rectify instantly. They test your ATTENTION, CONCENTRATION and HONESTY.
(6) When comes to WORK EX, put some Abbreviations in between. He will definitely ask you. Okk wats that APKS(say). Give him a lecture of 2 mins on that. Its here, where you are fluent and confident enough and he knows very less about what you are speaking .
NOTE: In interview, even if you dont know 50% of the answers, keep on Saying SORRY SIR with loyalty and confidence. BUT dont loose your smile. Generally it happens, when you continuously cant answer 2-3 questions at a stretch, you loose your smile and start giving a constipation type expression. Dont... Keep a gentle smile on your face till the end.
Fluency, Confidence and Knowledge is what you need.
