I read it somewhere. Felt like sharing. :) After declaration of Tier 2 Result, SSC will conduct Data Entry Skill Test (DEST). DEST is conducted for all those candidates who have opted for Tax Assistant Post anywhere in their post preference. You need not to carry your computer / laptop / keyboard as Computer will be provided by SSC. Exemption from DEST for PH candidates is subject to government policy in force at the time as per the CGL 2013 notification. DEST will be of qualifying nature. Marks obtained will be not counted in merit but if you fail in this test than you will not get Tax Assistant post but eligible for other posts. DEST is very similar to Module 1 of CPT. As mentioned in the notification minimum speed of typing should be 2000 key depressions in 15 minutes. In DEST, commission will give you a printed English passage that has to be typed on the computer. Software is not exactly Microsoft Word but similar to MS word 2007. In this module candidate has to type minimum 2000 characters (key depressions) in 15 minutes without any formatting (Bold / Italic / Underline etc.). This test can be clear by regular practice of 15 days. Microsoft Word can count characters as well, so you can practice on your computer by typing any article of more than 2000 characters in 15 minutes. This is checked against how many mistakes you make in typing. Only a certain percent of mistakes are allowed.

In notification, it was there that the obc certificate is in prescribed format which is between 02.06.2012 and upto 29.11.2015 but i havent got one in that period. Will they cancel my candidature or will it work if i do it now.
Also in our area they are saying that there is prescribed format for OBC by central government and they will give that form only (but not as prescribed by SSC). Will that work?
Guys one question the result is declared for 8624 vacancies but in tentative vacancies there are more ,suppose General there are 4495 there is a +junior accountant post and some UDC posts + there are MEA posts and some Administrative Tribunal post will those posts be not added...

432.25 (UR) (Not 436 as i mentioned in my previous post). So few queries:-
1)What should be my order of preference for the various posts?(PS:- I donot know about TA,DA post etc) please explain.
2)At this score which post can fetch you home state?
3)Which one is better:- Bank PO , NIP or IP?
4) As process is starting from 27feb..Is it possible that the process finish before 5th of march?(for NWR)..As i have my state PCS mains in line (5th march onwards), so are there chances of clash of date of interview? If yes , is there any remedy?
