Hi, Can anyone tell how much we have to score for GENERAL category outof 200 in CHSL 2017 Tier I to get PA/SA job?
There are two groups in facebook right now...one group say that the descriptive exam (chsl 2015) should be made qualifying..they are saying this because many of them got very low marks than expected in tier 2...so they are sending grievances and filing RTIs...they are also planning protests in SSC offices...the other group want the exam to be conducted at the earliest...
to be frank, i expected more marks for my wife..she had written it well..she also says that she expected more marks...but i don't want to delay the exam further by protests and all...it has already been more than a year since tier 1...just want it to be conducted asap...hopefully in february itself...what do you guys think?

Everyone is talking here about post preferences. I think, I should put forward my views.
First and foremost it's a self-evaluation thing. Give yourself some time and think why you do need this job.
- If it's mere a backup option for further pursuing something big (CGL/PCS/UPSC) then DEO/LDC should be the top preference and PA/SA last, as an extra day off will be of great value.
- If you can't leave your family behind, or not financially strong, then posting somewhere else apart from your state will be troublesome, then one must go for PA/SA.
- If it's your first and last job, like no switching, then go for anything you feel like.
- Some are worried about promotions, well all these are clerical jobs and it'll take years to get to big posts, whatever you get you'll be promoted timely. (Might be case like Delhi Police as well, where a person is in service for 30+ years, still an ASI, which he was at the time of joining, but receives the salary for the post of DSP) LDC is good for promotions, you can go way higher.
- If you have already selected in but haven't joined yet, or about to then one must refrain oneself from appearing in the last stage.
Think wisely and choose wisely. Go for what's good for you, not for the one, people say is good.
