hi I am achieving 38WPM with 92 percent accuracy in typing master software.I am doing this by looking at the keywbord and typing(hunt and peck typing) instead of touch typing.Will this  method work at the exam time or should I start practising touch typing?

I have some doubts regarding typing test. I am taking typing test via typing master, ssc tube paid test and hard copy paragraph on note pad.Typing master shows my speed in the range of 42wpm -47 wpm,while for ssc tube it is 28 wpm to 34 wpm.But when i do hard copy typing,I am able to type just 280-285 words in 10 minutes. Which one should I take as my actual speed ? Also,I am able to finish the online typing test with 7-8 minutes,but still the speed is in varying range.
