Just now had a discussion with SSC Tube in FB about preferences (though its not officially related to SSC, their info is credible) They are saying that DV preferences will be considered as final

i don't know why we are still predicting cut off. It is making us tense now. We can't do anything, even after these prediction. It is now up to ssc and we have to accept this fact. I know it is rude, but it is truth of a day.

My Name is Sachin. Namaskar Sabhi Dosto ko Sabse Pehle. please tell. I got 167 Marks and belongs to schedule caste category. My Category Rank is 3000 before Typing Test. Vacancy For SC is 980. Last time cut off is 160. Thanking all of you for sparing your valuable time.
In Typing Test 3 Capital Letter Mistake and 2 Word Miswritten and Left two words in the last line that is full mistake and time gets over. I belong to schedule caste category. I will be able to clear Typing. please Genuine Reply. Thanking You
In 2013 SSC made typing error UR @ 5% and others cat @7% ... Will SSC follow this pattern in 2016 because vacancies are lesser compared to 2015?

in ssc chsl... only tier 1 eliminates people..tier 2 doesn eliminate candidates bcoz everyone secures 33 minimum marks...so typing test has key role in making cut off..
Today final vacancies came..it was seen that 14 UR seats got shifted to other categories...there are different possiblities which can be interpreted...it seems that result has already been finalised by ssc, may be they kept error percentage such that they dont have enough UR candidates left at that error percentage..less error percent it seems

Is SSC going to publish our typing test error percentage as well on the 16th Feb Or not.
Shrishyam Sharma's opinion on final cut off:
This is high possibility that the changes will be done only with % error. Otherwise there will not be much affect on cut offs.
Whatever the error 5/7 % for UR and 8/10 % for other cats, in both conditions no body knows cut off will go high/low.
And since SSC has already increased the cut off in Tier I what they had to do. So this is strong point that much affect is illogical on final cut off.
Any recruitment agency tries first to change the cut off in first phase exam in order to cover candidates like in ratio of 15/8/5 times or sufficient number of candidates as per required for next round phase otherwise final cut off depends on level of exams or nothing else except decrement/increment of posts.
