I think in the year of 2016...for the first time I visited PG.......I had given CHSL 2015 ..that time my marks were good in tier 1 but not that good enough to secure final job. But still I used to come here to know my chances of selection ...that time I had left PG when I came to know that there were no chances for me.

Unknowingly again in the month of November 2017....I have joined this group and followed this group since then...but now ...I am roaming in the same platform with a job in Hand (CHSL 2016)...This is how time changes people's destiny...Hence never lose hope and nothing is impossible if we really try hard.....Trust the journey of life...Time reveals each and every hidden thing in the due course.

An Aspirant like you

Article 1:

SSC CHSL Selection Process and some important information to be noted regarding tier 2 and tier 3:

The selection process of CHSL Recruitment which is conducted by Staff Selection Commission consists of the below mentioned rounds.

1) CHSL Tier 1 Exam (Objective type) – for 200 marks

2) CHSL Tier 2 Exam (Descriptive type …means Pen and Paper test) – for 100 marks

3) CHSL Tier 3 (Typing test/ Data Entry Skill Test) – Just qualifying in nature,

Note: Final merit is calculated only on the basis of marks secured in Tier 1 and Tier 2 only if you manage to qualify typing round.

As tier 1 (Objective type) test is already over….no need to think of tier 1 now. Let’s get straight-away into Tier 2 and Tier 3. Yes, what should we do now?? Everyone generally gets this query into mind that, either to prepare for tier 2 first and let’s prepare for typing round later (Or) let’s prepare for those two rounds simultaneously??

Now, I am just revealing the secret behind these processes.
1)There are many who lost their jobs with less marks in descriptive and performed well in typing and

2) There are many who lost their jobs due to disqualification in typing even though they scored well in descriptive

Based on this what you think to do now?? Yes, both these Typing and Descriptive play major role individually. So...Let’s start preparing for these two rounds simultaneously…but to how much extent we should focus more on respective rounds? As typing is held after descriptive, logically we have more time for preparing for typing than for descriptive right..!!! So for now focus more on descriptive…and somewhat less for typing.

·If you are weak at typing, allot minimum 2 hours only for typing on computers daily. On the other side, if you are good at typing …practice minimum for an hour daily. Please note that, never practice on Laptop keyboards…If you have PCs..Then it’s fine. Otherwise, if you are working on Laptop…then I suggest you to practice on external keyboard connecting to laptop. ·

Coming to descriptive round…There is a certain format for writing letters and structure to be followed for writing essay.

Note::: In the article 2…we’ll look at detailed examination pattern of Descriptive round (tier 2). Don’t worry..We shall also discuss about typing in the due course for sure.

Ministry of Urban Development~ I want to inform you guys that you should avoid this ministry. CPWD is one of the worsed department to work wih, promision is almost none. Departmental examination is not scheduled or time bound. You never now when the departmental exam will be held. Article 2:

Detailed Examination pattern of SSC CHSL Tier 2 (Descriptive) Round:

Total marks allotted for this Tier 2 (Descriptive….a paper and pen test) round are 100 marks and the division of marks are as follows,

· For Letter/Application Writing – 50 Marks

· For Essay Writing – 50 Marks

Duration of the Exam – 1 Hour

Paper will have to be written – Either in Hindi or English…Candidature will be cancelled for those candidates who mix these two languages while writing. Hence don’t write half part in English and half in Hindi…Choose one language and complete the entire exam in the chosen language only.

Minimum Qualifying Marks in this round – 33% marks as per last year’s pattern (i.e., Cutoff would be 33 out of 100)

i.e., candidates who will be scoring 34 marks will be eligible to appear in Typing round..and those who score 70 marks will be eligible for appearing in typing. Benefit goes to 70 marks scorer as descriptive marks are included in deciding final merit.

Word Limit:

For Essay Writing – 200 to 250 words

For Letter Writing – 150 to 200 words

Exceeding Limit : +-10%

Topics asked – Based on current issues in India

Note: We’ll be given single question in Essay writing section and single question in Letter writing section. We should compulsorily attend those 2 questions in the respective sections..Hence there is no chance to escape at all. Now..See…How extent we should prepare for examination as there is no skipping of questions …

Next Article 3: We’ll be looking at previous questions asked in letter writing and essay writing sections in year 2015 and 2016. So that we’ll be getting an idea on what kind of issues questions are generally being asked. Please Stay tuned…
