If yes, please mention in detail..


It's written that we can avail of loans of upto 7lacs....
They have tie-ups with banks like HDFC, Corporation bank and Syndicate bank.

hey buddy...if a person is letting 22 lakhs go for dng an MBA, obviously he ll look at the time it ll take 2 recover what he has lost...as u said if d package is 8L, the guy wld recover d amount in 3 yrs..bt dats not d case buddy...out of 8L even if u r able to save 4L, u r quite lucky 2 do that...u hv got ur own expenses and when u live in metros or cities like Pune, money vanishes from d pocket like petrol kept in an open Tank.. :)

So at 8L, d guy would recover d money after 6 yrs!!!!! dat too if he's too lucky...otherwise it may take 1-2 yrs more den what i mentioned...and if d guy is from a middle class family who is leaving his job for his dream MBA and takes a loan of 10L, he has to be ready to go thru hell for nxt 6-7 yrs till he doesnt repay d loans...so as d fees increase my frnd, future starts bcmng gloomy in terms of financial benifits dat u leverage from an MBA degree... :)

Guys.. wid the initial sal which u manage out of a bshool, plus increments down the years, plus the job switches one is likely to undergo, I believe the repayment period would be 4 years.. I do agree that with increasing cost, financial benefits are coming down.. But tat is true wid all the other b schools as well... almost all of them touch this fig of 10L.. So my point is let us not panic way too much coz of this 1L increase.. Let us look at all other aspects like brand value, recruiting companies, profiles offered and evaluate if we should take up the course.. I believe salaries will be taken care of automatically..

I hope we can end the discussion related to fee increase here.. Dun mistake me guys.. Every1 I requires money at the end of the day.. 😃 I am just saying let us evaluate the course and college in all parameters..

dnt u thnk u r being a bit rude mate?? ppl writing long essays too are in WL...and if I see ur signature, u too hv been WLed for TAPMI...so no one is writing nethng over here "without being selected" as u hv mentioned...the right with which u cn post such offensive comments are the same rights with which every1 can write long essays if dey want...hope I am able to convey my point thru my "writing skills"...

This Thread is dedicated for candidates who have converted their calls(so that they can clear their doubts about admission) and for W/L candidates (so that they can know the W/L movement). One a personal note I admit I have been very diplomatic in my answers but that is better than telling wrong information. I am just a student and have no say/inside information on how the admission process goes. In case I have not made it clear, NONE OF US KNOW HOW MANY STUDENTS HAVE BEEN WAITLISTED. Admission office has not shared that details with us. We (the seniors) realize that there is a lot of confusion and anxiety but please understand our state also. Inspite of our internship work we have been trying to answer queries to the best of our knowledge (however limited). I WOULD AGAIN REQUEST ALL THE PUYS TO BE PATIENT TILL 10th MAY. We will try our best to gather any information possible on the PGDM admission from college.

i wud like to add here that only those guys who had given some other choice (ib/bfs/health care) as first choice are not in wait list....
other than that who ever opted for pgdm as 1st choice are selected/waitlisted...

i may be wrong but anyone pls post here who opted ib/bfs/hcm as 1st choice , was selected or waitlisted?

One more point regarding the fees and the repayment of the fees.

Guys you are forgetting that the interest rates charged for the loans will be around 10.5 - 12% depending on the banks you avail it from. So in essence, the amount you will repay will be much higher than the 10L loan that you avail initially.

All in all, if you can look beyond the aspect of fees and losing your income (for those with work ex), you would realise that after an MBA you would be joining top league companies in India and even if the initial packages are not that great, with dedicated efforts I am sure anyone can reach the pinnacle of success. On average a person would work for around 30 - 35 years after his/her MBA. So, I am sure looking back 10yrs down the line this 10L loan, interest on the loan, loss of income for 2yrs will all be trivial matters. We are all here for an education (one of the best in India at that) and not for a shortcut to high salaries and white collar jobs (although these are also important nonetheless).

I guess this initial waitlist that has been declared should only be for PGDM students. TAPMI is yet to declare final results for the other courses so I guess waitlist for them will be declared separately.

P.S. I am also an aspirant and this is my personal opinion.

Not true.. I have been rejected even though my first preference is PGDM reg.
And as a reply to kazasree.. i believe there are more than 1% of the students in the reject list( at least thats the impression i got from checking TAPMi codes from 08560 to 08630). And all these people would be very much concerned of their chances in the alternate options that they have applied for.

I have given PGDM as my first choice and BFS as my second choice and currently i have been W/L for PGDM.

Now the Qs is: if and when the results of BFS comes and if i have been shortlisted there what happens to my PGDM chances?

I mean since the time for confirming and paying the first installment is 7 days for selected candidates of any course( assuming from the case of selected PGDM candidates),so if i get selected for BFS and at that time also i'm in PGDM W/L but later after paying the fees for BFS i come to know that i have been also confirmed in PGDM,then am i eligible to join that ? or would they remove me from the PGDM list the moment i select BFS or any other course ??

Well according to me this is how it is managed:
First for individual courses ppl who have given it as the 1st preference and have been liked by Tapmi people will be called first and wait listed in the particular course according to there performance. Now suppose the waitlist of one particular course dries up then the people with second choice for the same course will be called. according to me enough no. of ppl have been called and waitlisted for a particular course so the chance that waitlist dries up is minimal. And if at all it dries up, the second choice guys will be called and will be asked to confirm the admission, once confirmed they might not be allowed to move to their 1st choice.
