Just one thing. AFAIK, even starting a new course frm a university requires AICTE approval. Manipal University can't just start new programmes without getting them accredited by AICTE. Can this necessary approval be waived by just affiliating the courses to the university?
Not before 28th May. Atleast that's the date set out for further movement for PGDM wait list. I think dates for IB, BFS and HCM short lists would be subject to AICTE / Manipal University approval.

I think their is no point in speculating as nobody is sure regarding when the results of other courses will be out.Its better to w8 for the results rather than creating unnecessary tension.

He said I wud be extremely lucky to get into pgdm:-( the approval for the additional 60 seats have come
but not for the sectorial programmes..
He said the management wud take a call on the sectorial program later he sounded unsure whether they would start the sectorial program without aicte approval as he refrained from detailed discussion about the sectorial program:-(:-(:-(

I also had a talk jus now.. He said tat next waitlist will be updated this saturday:).. but, i may be only for 120 PGDM seats.. for next 60 PGDM seats, it will be after this..
That comes as a good news......hope they get AICTE approval for other courses as well....Hope i get into either PGDM or BFS.....not very keen on doing IB.

what is sectorial programmes. is it BFS, IB HCM? they really get aicte approval 4 60 pgdm seat.

Sandeep, wishful thinking there... People will be calling the number non-stop now. I can remember ourselves this time last year. Most of us had the admission office number on Speed Dial.
As for the Waitlisted people, there's a reason its called the "WAIT-list". I know its almost impossible to contain your enthusiasm at this stage after such a long period of exams and forms and lists. But think of it this way - nothing you say or do will cause movement on the lists or make AICTE suddenly approve seats for TAPMI. So a little bit of patience might not be such a bad thing after all.

As I was told by Sudeep Sir that my W/L no is 400+, I have a very slim chance of getting PGDM.....
and Wen do we expect the IB results and its curriculum to be out???

I feel that the bfs course has huge potential even if the degree is awarded under manipal unversity coz the currculum, the faculty and the placement will be looked after by TAPMI(this was another info which sudeep sir gave me) and many a students would readily take the oppurtunity to get into the bfs course as is evident by the posts of puys in this thread..........

I didnt receive any confirmation.. But i called the admissions dept.. They said they have received my payment.. Hopefully they will send us in a day or two...

i am Vikal Ranka, i am postting for the first time on this thread but believe me i have read each and every post of of this 141 page thread till now.
i want to share something about myself....
i was selected in TAPMI last year(09-11) in the first list and that time i was a fresher... and i didnt take admn..:)
this year i again gave CAT got 94.62%, B.E. (Hons.) in Mechanical with 77.25%, have 9 months of work ex as a mechanical engineer in Hindustan Zinc Ltd. a subsidiary of VEDANTA group...
applied to TAPMI again, my case analysis, panel interview & director's interview all went decent.
But... today when i called up Sudeep Sir... he said i stand in the next 400 waitlisted...
so i hope i have very less or no chance of conversion...:nono:
so this whole admission thing is too messy...
those who r waitlisted dont lose hope and those who are not joining TAPMI and trying for next year should think once again...:
