Today....received the acknowledgment for the 2nd installment as well.....so now it's official.......i am a TAPMIAN....for 2010-12....

Last date for 1st installment was 21st.. so, they can decide the wait-list with tat.. also, wen I called Sudeep sir, he told the next wait-list update will be on 22 may.. but, I cant see an update in wait-list.. So, we have to wait till monday to get correct info..

"First the increase seats by 200%, then they increase fees as well, they also bring in 3 new courses"...
All premier B schools in India have increased their seats in recent times. Simple reason is that, if you look at all Top notch international B schools they have intake in tune of 1000s. So if any Indian b school aspires to come in league of good international B schools, increasing the seats is one of the most important steps in that direction. Of course other aspects/parameters need to support the increase seat, but you cannot match good international b schools with only 60 or 120 seats.
If you look at the demand and supply gap, you will find it prudent to increase the seats. Every year around 2.5 lakh people appear in different b school entrance exams; there are not even 12000 (top 30 B schools) quality seats. Now you can do math for ratio calculation of supply: demand.
Earlier with relatively small physical infrastructure, it was not possible to increase the seats or start new courses even when demand was there. As Tapmi moved to a relatively big campus last year, it has now capacity to accommodate more students. Hence the new courses.

For three new courses, Tapmi has said from very beginning that they were subjected to AICTE approval. As soon as the AICTE approval comes or (only when there is no hope) any alternatives are planned, results will be out. It has been said earlier in many posts that, it's not that Tapmi suddenly one day thought to start three new courses and next day announced the starting of courses. This was a well thought decision and attempts to take AICTE approval have started more than 6 months back. If you follow the news regarding regulatory body, you can guess the delay is not because of Tapmi. Fee is increased as the cost of facilities provided by institute has increased.

Suppose Tapmi declares the results for sectoral courses..students being happy because of they are getting admission in the course of their choice, they leave the other schools from which they got final admission , wait for starting of course and suppose the course doesn't start because of any reason, then don't you think Tapmi will be jeopardizing the future of many students.
By withholding the results, surely we may miss some students as they may opt for other b schools. But don't you think it's in the welfare of students.
As far as results for PGDM is concerned, the process in well ahead of planned schedule. The first result came one week in advance and waitlist movement is going on as confirmation of acceptance/rejection of admission is coming.

If Tapmi is getting delayed response from regulator, you can imagine the difficulty in process of getting approvals.

From the beginning Tapmi made its position very clear regarding new courses. During the entire admission process (during GD/PI, after declaration of results) so many channels of communication are made available to prospective students.
You people can talk to admission office, Chairman Admission (despite being busy) is himself answering the quires of students and we seniors are here on pagalguy to answer every query of students. But you still feel anxious and confused. About what?you should do some introspection about from where is confusion and anxiety coming from Tapmi or from you ?

We have posted many replies about benefits and some possible challenges of huge batch. You may refer old pages of this thread. There are many aspects/parameters in your statement e.g. "ability of Tapmi", "good placement", "360", "odd students" and "2 years". If you have done some analysis, we would love to get any new insights. Or you are just trying to test your knowledge of astrology by making such a prediction?

Getting pissed off with something is one of the easiest things in this world. If you do not look for detail, do not try to understand the intricacies of a process and do not try to understand other's position/limitations, then you will readily find yourself in frustrated and anaxious mode. This is something which is not good for an aspiring manager/leader.

Frends,a big blunder..i speed posted my final dd and annexure on the 21st..i saw on the 22nd that in the reciept of the speed post..they have mentioned

I think they should be sorting the envelopes depending on the pin codes. If you are sure you have written the correct pin code on the cover, you dont need to worry. However, you can go and enquire the same at your local post office which will make things clearer.

My guess is tat your rooms shud be ready by then. But still, its better to call n chk with the college. or else, we will be there in college by then, you can contact us anytime after jun21 to chk...

No one has posted so far of a convert from Wait list.
28th May is the date when the next movement is expected! (As per my conversation with Sudeep Sir.)
And as such 22nd May was a Saturday and the office would've been closed.
So don't expect anything before tomorrow afternoon.

had spoken to sudeep sir on this...he said you just have to shoot a mail to him/jyothi mam and inform them that you're gonna be reaching on the 29th..and need accommodation..they'll take care of the rest..:)

I was thinking over posting this from last two days but now have finally decided to...I just wanted to know the waiting list number which they are disclosing to the students enquiring about their w8list number is it the initial w8list number or the one after they have issued calls to all the students till now.
I consider it to be the first case and i might sound over optimistic but i feel so because college might not take the headache to create new w8list number every week and also because they tell each and every w8listed candidate that he/she has a good chance.Also last year the student ranked 360 in the merit got a chance to secure admission at TAPMI.I might be altogether wrong but its just my opinion...Inputs and groans are welcome..

Dear all, I had talked to Sudeep Sir a few days back and he had said that my number is in the range of 100-150. Now with the addition of these 60 seats, what are my chances? I have confirmed admission in SIIB and would cancel so some1 else can make use of that seat if my chances here are realistic.
