QADI 25 maare hai.....i expect arn 21-22 correct....a score of somethng arn 55-65.....anythng in between....QA: All questions were doable but lengthy so one had to pick n chose wisely.....DI:Tuf.....time consuming in the sense....agn doable but pick n chose types.....OA arn 52-55 wd shd fetch 99+ imo....VALR 27 maare hai.....i expect arn 20 correct......a score of arn 48-55......anything in between......Voila.....beautifully designed papr......Moderate LR wid one set on the tufer side......RCs are easy to read but all questions wer inference based......PCs, PJs were manageable.FIBs were moderate to tuf.....SCs wer pretty tuf .....left 2 of em.....Paper ws of moderate difficulty.....any score above 95-97 is pretty gud for 99+ imo...ppl may think that this is a bit too low for 99 but the pprs are very tricky & tht leads to ppl making mistakes....hence i feel 100 is a lil higher for 99+....it has to be a tad lower......ab sab bhagwaan ke upar......
Ppr wsnt easy.....in the sense there were lots of speed breakers esp in DI......they were lengthy n not enjoyable.....fasaa toh tha.....options kafi close the .....but thik hai...i managed to move on....isliye i guess 25 maar paya.....n tht left scope fr some silly mistakes....20 A mei silly mistakes ka bilkul scope nhi bachta.....yaha mere exam se nikalte hi do galtiya pakdi gayi....but agn 21C will be gud onli....hoping fr the same....
21st morning????
i attempted 24/29.......
really got panicky in 1st section after about 35mins wen i realised i was on question 13 with 3-4 already bookmarked ( so that leaves me with onli 8-9 attempts in first half of section 1)....... after that it was just a simple policy.....if its in my comfort area, then do it....or else leave it....... went on to do all the DIs and found a few sitters in quant too mostly post Q 20....... breezed thru in the second half to manage 24attempts, but still feel i could have had 2-3 attempts more had i managed my time properly in the first half...... i left 3-4 questions without even digging deep to realise whether i could actually do them or not just coz they were not in my comfort area......neways i made a mistake in 1 and unsure about 2-3 more.......
2nd section......LR saved the day.....20-25mins mein all 3sets which most likely is all correct...... one RC was easy.....one extremely incomprehensible...... one of moderate difficulty but close options........ PJs/ PCs confused me to some extent as i couldnt choose between two options in most cases...... so its a 50-50 there...... and i hate this part coz normally PJs/PCs are my strength........ simple grammer and WU, which i thot could be solved just by our normal intuitive vocab without really goin deep into the rules and all...... unless i made some blunders that is......
i think it was a moderate paper across both the sections......yes a lot of speed breakers but not getting panicky and question selection was the key imo.......
neways...... expecting 20-22/ 24 in sec 1......
and 20-22/ 29 in sec 2...... lets hope for the best tho :)
i know that hurts......really...... but that was the thing....trade off between speed and accuracy....... i made a mistake in simple calculation and got a GP question wrong and marked the answer quite confidently coz that wrong answer was also there in the options......and all this wen i cud have actually jus applied options afta havin solved half the question...... wasted time and a + 4 :(
buddy.....i thnk the ppr ws designed lik tht .....they wnt ppl to make mistakes....n nt realize it....:P but thik hai......i feel arn 50-55 is a decent score in both sections these types of pprs....lets hope fr the best.....:)
i totally second that.....i feel 50-55 in bth sections should be a decent score too...... feels 110-115 raw score should be gud for a 99.5 and 100-105 for low 99's....anyways jus my opinion...... lets just hope for the best....... i have CA final in a week's time now 😃
From what I have read and heard, CAT seems to be bit difficult/tricky this year. I am sure the team will do well. Few big ones left to go, IIFT, XAT etc. It is the start of a long season, so keep up the tempo. Previous UDT members have cracked XAT and IIFT. If the team wishes we can have paper specific confys post CAT and invite those folks over.
