My analysis of 1306 section1
I usually divide my attempts into 2-3 rounds...in round 1 i dnt waste any time and choose only the easy ones as per my strengths...
the art here is identifying the right questions...hopefully i'll learn it some day :)
(the classification of questions as easy medium difficult varies from person to person so i am not doing that)
1 A questionn from probabiliity -doable,the word atleast should ring a bell, attempted at first go(very basic knowledge of probability required)
2 an easy question from numbers, N^3=a^3b^3...straight question attempted it in round 1
3 question from geometry, looked doable but i don't trust my geometry skills so left it for round 2
4 Lengthy question from nos(length wise khaali)...knew the concept..attempted it straightaway in round 1
5 a question from Time and distance, moderate one, i m usually gud at it so attempted in round 1
6-8 DI set bada sa figure laga...left it for round 2
9 Sitter from time and work...atttempted it in round 1
10 Easy tricky question from log...trap tha question me...attempted in round 1
11 coin question..looked tricky...left it for round 2
12 geometry again...left it for round 2
13 P&C; circular arrangement question...read it once and found it tricky..left it for round 2
14-16 DI set calculations the but easy one,bar charts the so thought of doing it in round 1...attempted 14th and 15 thode approximations karke and left 16th was having some doubts in it.
17 Mangoes question..easy one on percentages..attempted in round 1
18 P&C; question on onto function..attempted in round 1..had done a similar one previously
19 Dates question..again simple percentage question with little trick...attempted in round 1
20 firse geometry...par abki itna easy tha..circle ki eqn se centre dekhna tha.... round 1 mai kar diya
21 venn diagram..2 circles waala..attempted in round 1
22 highest root question...straight tha..attempted in round 1
23-25 DI set...firse bar graphs..23 and 25 kar diye round 1 me...24 thoda lengthy lag rha tha...chod diya
26 P&C; question on coins distribution..similar questions have appeared in aimcats..attempted in round 1
27 sitter on bijective fns...attempted in round 1
28 tricky question on heights and distance..left it for round 2
29 easy question on ages..attempted in round 1
30 tricky question on P&C; left it for round 2
End of round 1 questions attempted 18...time taken 40 min approx
Round 2 begins
3 tried the geometry question...was able to solve it
6-8 DI set..left it again
11- coin question..was able to solve it..but took abt 5 min
12- tried the geometry question...was able to solve it
13 P&C...left; it again
28- was able to solve the heights and distance one in round 2
30 P&C; waala...was not sure abt this...marked 1/4.. why ?
end of round 2...23 attempts time taken 60 mins approx..
Round 3 should have gone for DI set but thought of doing the P&C; one first wasted 3-4 minutes was confused b/w 60 and 64 was not abl to solve it..marked 60(no clue why i did that)
5-6 min were left for DI...attempted only 1 question and a calculation mistake here
Total Attempts 26 Correct 22 Result 62-99.59%
I guess attempting it the right way really makes a difference and cat is definitely 2 steps below this mock.
Sometimes i am not able to understand anything in a question but in round 2 with 15-16 alrady in the bag, things do happen :P

@abhi_14 no1 flunks in the other streams coz the avg age has increased ny 1 year.. so imho just 1 student has failed and the rest pass..54..

I think it refers to ownership, like you'd call land, which is fine afaik.
To be true I cant see many underdogs here..
getting 98.xx in mocks or 97.xx in cat 2011 makes you a strong contender,not an underdog..
