Hi friends. I wanted to know what is the eligibility for ALC post. Whether 1 year diploma in Industrial relations or Labour welfare or personnel management acquired in distance mode/ part time mode also will be considered. As UGC does  not have purview over Diplomas offered by Universities, what kind of a Diploma will be recognized by UPSC for this post. Kindly share your views.

As Ministry of Labour that is controlling authority for Central Labour Services told various times through RTI and & Other means that 61 vacancy positions has been sent to UPSC for direct recruitment and promotion on 50% ratio basis will be finally cleared after the implementation of new Labour Codes. As government has planned to change the basic power and postion for ALC and ALWC. It may be possible that government can merge welfare wing with CIRM i.e. Central Industrial Relation Machinery.
