plus u got pshycometric test n the GD's n the PI to make up for watever marks u wud b losing out bcoz of ur acads or CAT score or watever....
so just chill till the calls r given out n crac kthe rounds on D-Day

I really don't think that the cut off for welingkar will go that high......i would say 80 would be gud engh but seeing the sudden changes in trend this year for all the instt you can never be too sure........i would advice you to give the MHCET as well and apply with both the scores....you can do that with a single form and the best of the 2 scores will be considered......so that ways you'll have more chances to get a call........ in the counsellin sessions the admissions incharge made i very clear tht all above 75+ would get a call-through cat..

Hey I don't have much idea of what CET percentile would be engh to get you a call from Welingkar but I'm pretty sure that it wouldn't be 99.99%ile.....thats just plain ridiculous......i mean then what about ither instt Jamnalal Baja and Sydneham...they would be asking for 110%ile or what...........so i advice you to go to any of the prep places....CL,IMS or PT and find out....they'd be able to give you a much clerarer pic........
guys I have got 72.46%ile in CAT. My acads aren't great and i dont have any work ex or extra curriculars to show. How do you rate my chances of getting a call coz if i wud get one i certainly wud convert it. Secondly how do you see my friends chances who got 61%ile.

whoa.....hold on.....i dint say that the cutoff wud b 85+......tht was a response specific to THE PERSON WHO HAD QUERIED WITH 86.XX..........
just spoke to a friend who inquired in the admission office n was told tht any1 over 75 percentile stands a chance........mind u....stands a chance is very different than will get a call.......(the cutoff cub b lower of considerably higher as well.....his observation i guess wud b based on the past years n the forms recd this year)
any cutoffs quoted now wud b speculations only as the final cutoff wud b decided based on the total number n scores n i believe to an extent profiles of the ppl applying.....

for applying thru CET for PGDBM and EBIZ the percentiles wud be in early 90's most probably. but to apply for MMS outside maharashtra candiddates need 99.7 percentile and above coz seats are just 12 for OMS candidates yes its true coz last year one of the people i knw had 99.75 percentile in CET 15 in GD and PI each than also he didnt get the call frm JBIMS and Sydenham so u can well imagine how difficult it is to get Mms call fr the OMS candidates

While you may be aware that Welingkar Institute is accepting CAT 2005 and or MH-CET 2006 for admissions to its full-time MBA programs, what you may find interesting is that Welingkar is likely to call students with a CAT overall percentile of 70 and above. I have secured a 84.31 percentile in CAT. Applied to nirma but it closed at 90. I need ur valuable advice big time. Should i apply to Welingkars or should i wait for another year n give CAT again. I wouldn't mind joining Welingkars if it is good.
How good is that institute. I judge the institute from the placement perspective. In that my first preference would be good placements in India n then abroad.
If any one of u has got the relevant info about the same then it shall b really helpful to me.

dude....check out the previous few posts......Welingkars not concerned with Sectionals.......only the net percentile....based on the mail from the admission team, anyone over 70 can expect a call
with regards the comments....every1 is entitled to a personal opinion.......better ask one of the seniors thru PM regards any such apprehensions about the credentials of the school that may b present........
