- mittal-arcelor issue - french/indian govt. submarine scam - sensex touching 11000 - bush coming to india/indo-us nuclear deal - demolition taking place in delhi - airport privatization - sting operations shud b banned or not - one india tariff plan - jessica murder trial issue
as for the abstract topics , they can give us anything under the sun . there is no way that you can make out even some vague idea about the probable topics . but any input is welcome . so let the ideas flow .

my take on the topic " pink pyjama fluttering over red fort" during the gd - red fort can be considered as something which represents our country n pink is a colour associated with gay n lesbin liberalization movement . so the topic refers to the growing popularity of homosexuality in our country.:biggrin:
later our teacher told us the actual interpr - pink is a colour associated with feminism n redfort can b considered as the seat of power . so the topic actually implies the emergence of women in indian politics( sonia gandhi, shiela dixit, jayalalita etc)
for the second topic - 1. "i" represents the self . so the dot on this letter represents the head which houses one of the most imp. organ i.e. the brain 2. "i" as a letter represents another imp. organ i.e. eye u see this is a very abstract topic and any type of interpretation is equally acceptable .
