Wanna know which course is better at Welingkar! PGDBM or MMS?? Are the placements for both the courses same or different?
Also, with 98.35%ile in CET (PAR 3, WE 0), do I stand a chance for MMS course? OMS candidate...General category.

listen the good news for you is that you're an OMS candidate.. so CET has a provision for you to enter any other exam score if you have taken any and marked it in CET the form as well.. so if you're that keen you can still take the MAY MAT, score good and then all the good colleges are open options.

Glad to know that its not just me who has this problem....I called up the welingkar people yesterday...they told me to mail them back at the address [email protected] and tell them about the problem....they said that we should send them this request mail before 10th april...and then by 11th or 12th they will come out with the changed admit card...

Each course has its own merits. Decide based on these points
- MMS is a degree from Mumbai University while PGDBM is a diploma
- Mumbai University is better known than Welingkar worldwide
- You can go for a PhD later with both (not with the ebiz course tho')
- The placement process is the same for both
- The PGDBM course is more updated to industry requirements
- The PGDBM course is more expensive
- JBIMS
- Jankidevi Bajaj (only ladies tho')
- Sydenham
The scene for OMS seats is similar .

The retail management course is new, the first batch will pass out in 2007.
The course has an inherent job guarantee as Welingkar started the course based on the requirement expressed by many Retails Chains like Pantaloons, Shoppers Stop and Lifestyles. These people have been recruiting from Welingkar every year, so you can safely go for it..

This is mahesh from hyderabad. i also got a call. My GD is on 29th april in mumbai at 10:45a.m. Anyone there with the same slot. anyway guys can anyone throw light on what is the ratio in which welingkar has issued calls?
