Why Finance?

@Sunny.D Executive PGD is for people who have good amount of experience (generally > 5 years). Do you want to wait till that period as you don't have the required years of experience as of now.
@@kvrvmanoj 5 years is too long. But I am not sure about the value addition and need of the 2 yrs course after doing CA. Further as of now I am open to doing job as well as business.
@Sunny.D I would suggest you to continue working for now and after getting 2-3 years of experience you can think of doing MBA.
@frankfurtadm
i m a CA (around 20 months exp) and have few interviews in mba colleges lined up.. however 1 question that i am not able to answer is - Why MBA after CA ?? How is it gonna Help you ?

If u can please help...

PS : i want to get into Corporate Finance (Project Finance and Valuations to be specific)

Guys
Can anyone upload or give link of common MBA placement interview questions ?

@abhimukh19 : thanx sir. d thread is awesome !

@gnsharda dear Gaurav,

My sincere apologies, I somehow missed on your query and have noticed it only today.

I can understand your worries and doubts, since you may think that you already have CA and basically are trained in various aspects of finance and accounting.

With your current post you could surely become a good helper in tax planing and so on, but the answer to why would you need MBA still, is very simple: to boost your career. Unless you are thinking of taking the same post all the time.

However, one always should aim to learn and achieve more.

In your case if you take MBA, especially in top B - schools, you will pay the tuition fee to invest into your career. After completing the course you will basically jump from your current post to a higher one and have good chances to become CFO, which is one of the most important post in the company going hand in hand with CEO. If you have such scopes, MBA would be just what you need.

You would also have additional knowledge of strategy, marketing, business and economics with a wider long term thinking. This is essential for top finance companies and banks who usually need both, CA and MBA. And if you aim to work and progress and be someone rather than sit in the same post, then the answer is clear. After all, the person who says that he does not have what to learn or anything else achieve in his life has hardly a reason to live anymore.

This of these advantages and make a good answer to your interview question.

@frankfurtadm Thanks a lot for the same...
n yeah.. i want to learn as much as i can...
i will get back to you in case i have some more queries..

@rebornNINJA : It wont be of much use if you do MBA, but can be useful in MS in Finance or Actuarial Sciences.But to be honest, No Knowledge is Useless.
