A phrasal verb is generally a combination of a verb and a preposition such that it forms a complete semantic unit. It could also be a verb and an adverb. It often conveys a meaning that is different from the original verb. Although they are used more in informal speaking, they are used extensively in numerous formal occasions as well.
Some of the most common phrasal verbs have been mentioned below:
1) To act up: to misbehave (for people) or not work properly (for machines)
Example 1: The babysitter is complaining about the children. It seems like they have been acting up lately.
Example 2: It was rather unfortunate that our car started acting up on the highway. We were the cause of a massive traffic jam.
2) To ask out : to invite someone for a date
Example: Nick wanted to ask out Jane but he was too shy.
3) To be off: to leave
Example: I shall be off then. Hope to see you soon.
To be up to: to be somebody's responsibility
Example: It is now up to the police officers to ensure that is the legal proceedings are carried out safely.
5) To break down: to start crying
Example: Sam breaks down whenever someone mentions his father's death.
6) To break up : to separate
Example 1: It was heartrending to see the couple which had been living together for over 40 years break up.
Example 2: Let us break up the engine into its component parts, so that we can figure out where the problem is.
7) To bring up: to mention or introduce (as a point of discussion) or to raise / rear

Hindi ought to be the official language of India. There is no reason of the government to spend money printing documents in difference languages, just to cater to people who cannot read/write Hindi. The government has better ways to spend tax payers' money. People accross India should read/write Hindi or learn it at the earliest.
