A blind man rolls a fair dice marked "1", "2", "3", "4", "5" and "6" on its six faces. After the first rolling, he erases the number on one of the six faces of the dice and marks it with "1". He rolls the dice again and erases the number on one of the faces and marks it with "2". He repeats this exercise four more times and marks "3", "4", "5" and "6" on faces of the dice in the subsequent trials. What is the probability that the face initially marked with "3"on the fair dice, still has "3" marked on it, after the sixth rolling?

Bhaiyo ek help chayea. While filling the XAT form i filled my 10th ka marks as they have mention (i.e. taking aggregate of all the subjects in the marks sheet). I also did the same thing while calculating my 12 ka %. The problem is if i do best 4 in 12 i get a above 80 % while if i do aggregate of all then it drops below 80. Tab to maine bharte waqt 12 ke lyea itna socha nahi, lekin SNAP ke baad sabkuch double check kar raha tha tha to yeh dekha. To mera question hai ki kya 12 ke marks maine sahi likhe hain ya best likh sakta tha mai?

I am not sure if this question is posted earlier or not ..have doubt so posting..please help.. @krhyni  @sagarcat  @pulkit_malik

Ram, an economist, and Ramesh, an astrologer, had a debate. Ram said “Astrology does not work. It just cannot predict.” “It can predict better than your subject” rebutted Ramesh. The evidence that best resolves the above debate will be:

  • B.Compare past performance of astrologers and economists in terms of number of predictions which have come tru
  • A. Conduct a survey among scientist asking one of the two should be considered as a science.
  • E. Conduct an experiment where both astrologers and economists would be asked to predict the future. Compare the percentage of predictions that come true.
  • D. Conduct an experiment where both astrologers and economists would be asked to predict the future. Compare the number of predictions that come true.
  • C. Conduct a survey among economists asking their opinion regarding the ability of economic theory to predict economic phenomena.

What do you guys think of XAT's new pattern this year and the option of leaving only upto 13 questions unanswered without negative marking?

What do you reckon the difficulty level of the paper will be like compared to previous years?

Hi guys Is the CL XAT pack based on the new pattern??

You are an officer-in-charge for providing basic medical facilities to the survivors of an earthquake affected area. Despite your best possible effort, people put allegations against you for making money out of the funds given for relief.

You would :

  1. Let an enquiry be set up to look into the matter.
  2. Ask your senior to appoint some other person in your place.
  3. Not pay attention to allegations.
  4. Stop undertaking any initiative till the matter is resolved

Select two best options out of these four.

You are a trainee accountant in your second year of training within a small practice. A more senior trainee has been on sick leave, and you are due to go on study leave. You have been told by your manager that, before you go on leave, you must complete some complicated reconciliation work. The deadline suggested appears unrealistic, given the complexity of the work. You feel that you are not sufficiently experienced to complete the work alone. You would need additional supervision to complete it to the required standard, and your manager appears unable to offer the necessary support. If you try to complete the work within the proposed timeframe but fail to meet the expected quality, you could face repercussions on your return from study leave. You feel slightly intimidated by your manager, and also feel pressure to do what you can for the practice in what are challenging times.

What is a best course of action ?

1. Try to complete the work in the allocated time.

2. Refuse to complete the work.

3. Explain to the manager that you do not have sufficient time and experience to complete the given work.

4. Raise matter in the HR department.

Mary, a recent college graduate, works for a company which represents clients who are interested in either buying or selling businesses. As a "business broker," her job is to arrange such sales. Rev. Smith, a retired minister, contacts Mary's company to arrange for the purchase of a small manufacturing plant just outside of town. He has recently formed a nonprofit corporation to aid troubled youths and wants to convert the building into a recreation center. He desires to work with Mary because she formerly attended his church and he trusts her implicitly. Mary's supervisor, George, has assigned her the task of negotiating a deal for Rev. Smith's organization. Some of the machines at the manufacturing plant are in poor condition and would require $100,000 to repair. Rev. Smith intends to remove them in any event. The seller is asking for a $250,000 down payment on a $1,000,000 sale. Rev. Smith's organization can only raise $150,000. After studying the situation, George is convinced that if the seller can be led to believe that repairing the machines is important to Rev. Smith, the down payment request would be reduced to $150,000 and the asking price to $950,000. George therefore instructs Mary to mislead the seller. She is told to insist--with a straight face--that either the seller repair the machines or drop the down payment and asking price. Mary is uncomfortable with this strategy, both for the sake of honesty and because Rev. Smith has not approved it. Yet, as a new employee, she wants to please her supervisor.

Most suitable option ?

1. Mary completes the sales per George's plan.

2. Mary refuses to engage in deception and confronts George.

3. Mary talks the matter over privately with Rev. Smith.

4. Mary ignores George's plan and creates her own.
