My XLRI HRM interview :
So you have learnt French with certification… Name 10 countries which speak French mentioning atleast one from each continent - answered
Why French why not Spanish
(Seemed convinced by answer)
Asked me about my performance in gd what I thought of it and to give my views on worst and best performer
(Panslists Nodded after all my answers)
Some easy accounting questions - all answered
10 minute discussion on euthanasia. - panelist argued a lot but was smiling towards the end - i stuck to my points and backed them with stats.
Last question - why MBA and not mcom - mentioned more scope and options, and better international opportunities
( Panelist said that’s fair enough)
At end they said we’re done, thanks very much.

Any specific HR Related theories I should study for my HRM Interview?

GD:-Spoke 3-4 times properly with relevant points and HR related examples. I would consider myself in the top-3 among 8 people modestly.
PI:-Good. The overall discussion was about acads, graduation, work ex and issues pertaining to my state, Goa

GD:-Spoke 5-6 times with very good examples and facts which helped gain new direction to the GD and brought out many more important points. I would consider myself the best among 11 people modestly.
PI:-Very Good. Healthy discussion overall about graduation and work ex. Mostly focussing on Goa and the various current issues taking place here.
Please give BRUTALLY HONEST Opinions on my Conversion Chances.

GD - Is profitability more important than ethics?
Went with ethics. Spoke 10-12 times with relevant examples and considering many aspects. I think it was pretty good.
PI - 3 penalist
How will you relate your engineering with Management.
Gave the answer, the seem pretty convinced

Gave a relevant example about my project.
Then some cross questioning about my project.
gave all the answers but made a mistake ( used frictional energy in place of frictional force but later rectified my mistake )
Tell me a problem which troubles you a lot?
told about women safety
a deep discussion on that, i stuck to the point that punishment should be given by considering the intensity of crime
Then some questions on my hometown which i was able to answer properly
At the end one penalist pointed that in my form I have made a mistake. I had put pune university instead of Maharashtra board for 10th and 12th ( I had heard it somewhere, i told them so but later accepted my mistake and told them that i will rectify it. i think that i made a big mistake here )

Chances of conversion?
I had the shortest interview in my group. Is there any chance of conversion?
I felt my interview was too good. Spoke about my work ex, hobby, college and a social issue. No follow up questions on social issue though

GD: Good. Spoke around 4 times. Two of them were very relevant points. I would rate myself 4th out of the 10 guys.
PI: Was nervous initially(the first 2, 3 minutes) but the remainder of the interview was excellent. It was on graphs, continuity, differentiablity, functions, workex etc and I got all mathematics questions right (my strong part and fortunately the interviewers tested my mathematical ability ) and workex part was also very chilled.

Hi everyone, Hope you all have had great GD-PIs. We understand that the wait for results is agonizing. An year ago, we've been through the same!! One word of caution is to not frame opinions based on speculations being shared at various unofficial portals. The final conversions are based on multiple components and it is difficult to predict results before they're actually out. We've seen conversions for both the programs at lower ends of %ile spectrum and people not making it even to the waitlists at the high end of the spectrum. So, keep your calm and all the best for the results!!!
Is the final list for pgdm bm out for xlri?
What all documents are needed for the interview as they are not mentioned in the call letter?
Can someone tell me the tentative date of the result? And whether we have to submit something or reply with a confirmation immediately after the results are declared?
With 92.7 in Xat, can i apply to any college right now? Already had imt and kj interview, but not very sure about the conversion. Any college whose date is still left? Your help would be much appreciated. Thanks
