What are the usual cut-off scores for applicants applying with their GMAT Scores
(NRI candidates). I've applied to XIMB with a GMAT Score of 630 ( 4 yrs experience in IT, with some of the big names in Indian IT industry).
Also, when can we expect to see the list of shortlisted candidates.

to be perfectly frank, i'm not aware of the GMAT cut-offs... but given ur workex, a score of 630 should fetch you a call..in any case, i'll try to get some info from the Admissions Office and update you soon...
the list of shortlisted would most probably be declared by 9th Feb!

got it confirmed from the Admissions Office that you can not change from XAT to IRMA score for applying to PGPRM... 😞

Would you know how important are those reference letters along with XIMB form (for NRI candidates). Unlike Recommendation letters required by US universities, they do not have any fixed format.
I asked my brother to call during daytime in India and ask them, and they said that they are even ok with letters of personal reference (???). Sounds strange !

i don't think it is all that important...but since its a mandatory part of the Application, you'll have to get the Ref. Letters.
regarding the format, though there isn't any specification it is always good for a reference letter to have the following:
1) Your relationship with the person writing the letter (professor, employer,etc.)
2) Since how long he/she has known you
3) His/Her knowldedge about you
4) Description of your good & weak points which he/she has come across
5) A brief note about the person writing the letter
So just ensure that whoever writes the letter you can tell him/her to ensure that these points are there...
I'm still not sure about the funda of letters of personal reference...you may clarify the same by sending in an email to [email protected]

the confirmation/acknowledgement mail would not serve any specific purpose in the future...

cut-offs are ver very important...just as important as they are for IIMs...
tough chance.... :(
last year the cut-offs in QA were over 82%ile...which is more than double ur current score in QA 😞
