I am an Orissa domicile
Overall : 96.45
Va- 98.76
Qa- 83.xx (apprehensive about this)
Reasoning-88.xx

7 months work ex in telecom domain.

Past record-
B.Tech -72.3 % from NIT Trichy
12th - 90.2%
10th - 94%
Above average extra - curriculars.


u must get thru(and the domiscile factor is an add-on)

your sectional scores are very fine...but your overall score will pose a problem 4 u...so u have less than 50% chance...ultimately its upto admission coordinator)

I have 6 months of job ex till date and i am a mech. engg by qualification.average acads and above average extra cirriculars...can u throw some light on the probability of me getting a call?

It would normally take around 4 to 5 days after the xat results are out...
so keep ur fingers crossed :satisfie:

Well ur overall score looks really good and ur di is just above the margin...so u might as well expect a call...your final selection is mainly based on your performance in GD/PI but yeah a good score does help u keep ur head above water!!... :)

oops there is a correction there...final selection gives equal weightage to gd/pi and ur xat scrore!! :wow:

The cut off was 95%ile last year...but there were few exceptions. So lets just hope for the best!!

Generally there isnt a hard and fast rule about the cutoffs for the GD/PI call. The admissions committee does look into the profile of the candidate too. Last time around the cut-off was around 94-95%ile. So hope for the best 😃
