ya i am for BM but still very tensed whether i'll convert it or not, nways i am still leaving XIMB as i'll be joining IIT Kharagpur otherwise.

waise what is ur opinion , which is better IIT Kharagpur or XIMB


Since i am not an engineer and so was never eligible for the iits, i dont know much about iitkgp. sorry.

guys i am also waitlisted & man this wl thing is nerve wrecking.

have been trying to keep track of all the people not joining ximb through my very own pg. so heres my take:

first i tried 2 collect the names of all the people who got confirmed calls on pg : total of 36 i have been able 2 get

& foll. is the list who wont b joining ( i hope there r many more): 9

Guts : xl confirmed
amit : going 4 xl
spk2ragz : wl 12 xl (pmir)
vineetmanghani : mdi & xl
efghi : xl & more
MrAnderson : iitb
Evanescence
Sargataur : going for FMS
xlwl_32 : wl in xl

also with lots of guys with multiple calls still 2 decide which college 2 take , lets hope for the best.

others if they have some info. regd. this plz do chip in with ur inputs .



Thx for the list hope so the ppl leaving will goes on increasing.
In the yahoo group already 26 ppl have joined so at least rounding off to 30
ppl will surely joining XIMB

and those at wt ls 3,12 and 14 dont worry u all will surely make it

I think XIMB will be a better option but the Tag of IIT is surely unresistable
one of my friend is in final year and has got a placement in TCS with a pay package of 4.2
i think that is the decent one donno abt XIMB but since he is fresher getting such a profle and a good package it is commendable.

called up ximb today... was told that at wl14, i stand a fair chance. Another friend of mine with wl41 had called a few days back. He was told that last yr, the wl had cleared till38.So, he had a 50-50 chance.

Hey buddy r u sure regarding this as 3-4 days when i had called the XIM office they told me that last year the lst got cleared upto 23, hope so this is wrong and the clearance list goes on increasing , wht ever be the cases u r always in. so u have no worries man.

My friend told me that the ximb ppl told him that it cleared till 38. But, i dont know personally.

Me too had called up admissions office sometime back and he said ki WL had cleared only till 23...
I believe it is so because he has told 2 of us the same thing and for you it was just hearsay..
But I do hope what u say is true since for WL like hanging at just 40- it is a great morale booster...
How did u get the no. 38? It sure was never featured before....

Hi all doesany of u have idea when this wl will be cleared officially
i think the last date of submisssion for fees is 25 of this month.

got the info from the admission office that they ll send mails regarding the 2nd list and the status by 1st week of May.anyways the last date for submission of the fees is 25th after that only the status of the watinlist ll be clear.
