i.m serious i have 97.2%in xat and given xiss gd/pi on 21 under sc/st even inthat case i was not selected
i had 83 n XAT, wid gud acads, a gud GD n a brilliant PI . Following were the remarks by the interviewer- 1. Very good accent n compared me wid d likes of Americans n Britishers 2. Grt communication skills 3. Very Gud attitude n i asnwered al queries n a good way, with flawless english skills .............Was sure wil get thru, m still not over it, n don know what else i needed for a gud interview..................n Krissh i was d boy sittin oposite tht gal who spoiled d GD

now i agree wid u, yes seats r sold. i always knw ths, but never thought to this extent dat allll.............seats can b sold., it happend in 2007 when al seats were sold but admissions were canceled n dean was sacked after board members intervened, let's hope d same happens again

I may earn some groans for this but that would not stop me from telling you all the truth.... And the truth is "XISS IS A BIG LIE". My native place is Ranchi and all my life I have seen students of XISS and their ecosystem.... A couple of years back mediapersons also tried to reveal all that happens behind the scene during admissions... But nothing concrete happened because they enjoy the patronage of all local bureaucrats who feel extremely pround of their wards studying in XISS or St. Xaviers' College Ranchi..
Regarding Placements it is pathetic out there...But nobody says the truth..Go and find out first hand...Just because some idiot said it is one of the top ones in XAT umbrella you should not believe it...
Peer Group:You should not expect anythng as most of them would be the back door entries (Folks ..In Jharkhand once you clear your JPSC written you are asked openly about the amount you may have to pay as bribe somewhere around 12-14 L) ...
My advice
1) to those with final converts .. Go to the college and figure out things on your own and then join...
2) to those without a call.....God saved you all.. Go for other calls you have...
I understand there would be hundreds of such colleges but I know XISS well as i have grown amidst them..
Don't fool yourself ....MBA is good but only if it is done from a good institute OR if you are already a well rounded personality with great skills who just needs a degree...
Once again...go to the college, inquire from them first hand, talk to other colleges nearby (St. Xaviers, Marwari etc) and then decide...
If it doesn't look satisfactory to you and this is your last option...Do not join out of desperateness...Do not worry of another year of preparations (online CAT etc)...You may feel satisfied as you have got an admission but you may repent for the rest of your life saying "I deserved better".. It is worth giving yourself another chance..

I am Happy with what XISS did with you .. Dear friend as you have got 97%ile in XAT you can easily get a great percentile in CAT and join IIMA as you said you also belong to ST ... I am sure with 2.5 year work ex you can give a good GD/PI in IIMs and can easily make IIMs ... Please leave XISS for people not so good as YOu .. I think now you got XISS did it for your better career ...
Comeone Dude, I don't buy that... Won't XISS look for a great candidate so that the whole Batch benefits from him/her. Won't they look for someone who could bring great name to the college... If that would have been the case People with 98-99 %ile would have been summarily rejected by KJSomaiya, LBS, Nirma University...Or IIT Roorkee would not have given final calls to people in top 500 JMET ranks...
XISS did not do anything in the interest of the candidate...It is just a blessing in disguise for him/her.. Tell me if I am wrong..

well i know i will sound sarcastic.....
but i will not stop myself from writing......when i started to participate sb really said a few bad things and even doubted my credibility....in the first run i was surprised to see a thread for xiss....so thought of sahring in it...as i bel;ong to ranchi.....at that pt of time when i said sb that with 75 odd %ile u hv very little chance to convert people started doubting over me only and they even said that my calls are fake....welll guys i use to taech here in a local coaching institute...and i know the reality....
its a norm here in XISS....last year out of the all applicants for xiss only 2 genuine candidates were selected for PM...might sound unrealistic but after seeing that there is not a single buudy on pg who is selected for xiss u cant even deny me....
what i wanna say u people is that sometimes truth has a very ugly face....and xiss has shown that....they sell all the seats....i hope IIM wala guy WHO gave me alot of PRAWACHANS is reading this.....even a few others have gone thru the earlier post....
i will like to say u people that dont go to xiss...placement is very bad...tha data provided in the earlier post was nt genuine....last year a girl was claimed to be posted in L&T; but no one knows her status today...people get a job in the range of 3-4 l/a.

Its ridiculous after being such a corrupted B-school it gets a ranking of 51 in pagalguy.
Seeing the ranking and somewhat very low fees I was interestd in the same.

hello everyone...very pathetic to see such injustice done...and we sitting like dumbs here.....inspite of having such bright results why we are so helpless...and accepting the situation...:banghead::banghead::banghead:..agar humlog itne weak hai to MBA kya kuch bhi padh le ..its worthless.....seriously..i am pitying myself.......MONEY OVERULED TALENT......shldnt we file a PIL and force them ...as the junta forced SYMBIOSIS to review theirs decision.....shh man..GRAVE INJUSTICE....:banghead::banghead::banghead:.........i feel worthless....and doomed ab to padne ki bhi wish nahi rah gayi hai...This is our education SYSTEM.....and here FUTURE MANAGERS are prepared............. woowww....
dont wait for waiting list..i had heard rumours tat its been converted to MANAGEMENT SEATS...Tat means people are paying for it....so dont keep hopes...otherwise u shall feel terribly wrecked afterwards....

yups ur correct....i too had the same piece of news but i thought that they will atleast keep a few seats apart to take genuine candidates

..jab tumhara nahi hua..to humlog ki to aukaat hi nahi hai...sachhi bahut gussa aaa raha hai.....mujhe bas ek baar..jinka hua hai na admissions unka profile dekhna hai....why is the entire process not transparent.......wen i went for my interviews they were like

Please be happy that you all are not selected....Let those back door entries enjoy their 2 yrs of MBA...they also know in their hearts that they do not stand anywhere... Sometime later in their career they may be ashamed of their alma mater and may be their MBA degree and learning too...
Next comes taking step against these colleges.... Yaar this is the same country where we have been living since ages and we have grown up seeing all these scandals, bribing issues etc.... Whom are you going to change.....
Be Sensible...take care of your career...join any B school only after you have a first and knowledge of it.... Prepare harder...you would certainly fare better....
I repeat you won't be able to do another MBA ever in your life and this brand name, learning, peer group would be there for the rest of your life...and XISS has no industry recognition... Do not fool yourself with an MBA tag from there....
Don't loose heart guys...Ahcha hi hua hai...One day you would be delighted about what happened today....I understand you thought it is a good college and hence wanted to get into it.... But now that you know it is not you haven't lost anything....
Forget it and move ahead with your hunt, your life...
