see you will be called no doubt...but last year lowest at which a guy was admitted was 55..whereas avg. for PM was around 70..the more you get the better the chances are for converting the call!!!!

I submitted my XISS app form yesterday. Today, I remembered that I forgot to mention the stream on top of the envelop will that be an issue?

wow...i find someone here speaking his hearts content....i am currently studying in xiss..so do not want to defame the insti....ofcourse we are taught since childhood to respect our almamater ..took admissions last year wid very high hopes...but i was hit by the stark reality...it only carries the hollow BRAND IMAGE...the summer placements are NIL..still struggling to find one..forget the stipends..on top of it ....this year none of the companies visited for FINANCE....now tats unimaginable!!! tat scores to 0% placement in finance....this fact is haunting my mind..there are no workshops and no extra curricular activities except singing and dancing...so frnds decide ....enter wid stiff mind set as inside faculty politics will such the life out of u......it left a bitter taste in my mouth and i am back counting the dates of my convocation....
the opinions are based on my personal experience.....rest all the best to all aspirants










thanks for the honest details but r these figures at the time when the recession was peak ?? coz if it is i would like to bring to your notice that even good bschools in mumbai( i reside here) struggled to place students. infact a certain bschool had a placement of 1.8 lacs:shock: yes thats right
Also some bschools that have a cutoff as high as 90 percentile have right now placed hardly have of the batch for their summers.
As for the faculty even i hope it improves coz even i m an xiss aspirant for PM .

Even I am confused over this. What does 30 cut-off point mean? Please someone be clear about this, tried calling the college but no use.

its 30 percentile..............if ur score is more than 30 percentile, then
u can apply in any course of xiss..............furthur depends upon your
GD/PI...........

hi frnds, do not get into a positve mode for xiss, even though you may score even the 80s, chances are less for PM n evn RM for that matter. Rest are not gud courses bt u can giv a try for marketing which is decent. At the same time, selection process is a bit weird so just giv it for the sake of it n expect nothing from the GDPI. YOU WILL GET A CALL FOR SURE BUT NOT THE COLLEGE IN MY OPINION.

@ kripasingh19 why do you say we should expect nothing from gd pi? And why do you not recommend this college. It has got a good reputation. I know there have been allegations about the seats getting filled by management quota but i was hoping things would change now as the administration has changed hands. If you could kindly throw some light on this it would be of much help for us. Thanks in advance.

the dean changed four years back following which the whole admission process was cancelled tht yr. So, did things really changed aftr tht? no, i applied last yr thinking the same for PM with a XAT score of 85 and in final yr. did not get selected after a real good GDPI n thn had an offer to get in through unfair means.. i could hav bt chose nt to. as for you guys i just hope at least a few seats r filled via merit n u can compete for tht. Just a personal opinion, may be i was not gud enuf to get in
