Hie everyone !

i need some urgent information about Xiss Ranchi:

in a Rural Development course what are the companies that come for placements??

what is the area around the college like ? as in congenial living conditions or something scary ?

some idea bout the hostel fee ?



its not bad for living.. gals hostel is good..place isnt bad though nt a big city life.. rural placemenst are not 100% .. exposure is less.. avg package 3 lakhs around.. sum jobs r 4 up.. gd bt less in no.

I guess all the originals..of marksheets as mentioned in the website!!
From where are you leaving for ranchi?? did you book any hotel?

and also how much time it takes to go to xiss from station and what is the mode of transport should be taken??

just came back frm GDPI...applied for RD...
GD started by 9am...our topic was "role of NGO's in economics n politics"..takes 20-25 mins
GD was as like as normal..after that everyone called for PI...in interview..guys they asked about ur background...n how u help in RD wid that background..that was the toughest Q i faced..other Q were okay..normal economics terms like GDP n show some light on indian economics n fiscal deficit n all. u should convince the penal that hv caliber to join n perform in RD...not more than 10 min PI..

thanx...i dont idea about PM...but the procedure looks like same for every department. u should hv all ur marksheet original n attested photocopies, XAT score card, plz carry xiss prospectus n acknowledgment sheet n receipt of xiss(not mandatory ) that's it..ATB...when will be ur GDPI..?

For all those who are worried about hotels at Ranchi, here is a brief overview .

There are quite a few hotels around the Ranchi Railway Station .. The rent varies from 300 per day to over 1000 per day .. You can choose any one of them depending upon your requirements ..

As far as the distance between hotels and institute is concerned : it is about 5 kms .

There are three ways of travelling .

1 . Rickshaw . You can take a rickshaw .. Takes 20 odd minutes and approx 20-25 Rs .

2 . Auto .. Catch an auto to Kantatoli ( 3 Rs ) . Now change another auto ( Bajaj one ) for Main Road ( Rs 5) .. Total Rs 8 .. Time : 20 mins .

3 . You can book an auto directly to the Institute . Would take about 55 -75 Rs . Wont take much time ..

Leave about 45 mins before your scheduled time of your GD and Interview ..


P.S : Most of Rickshaw pullers wont understand XISS , ask them to take you to Xavier College .. It is just next to XISS , hardly at a distance of 1 min if you walk .

i called XISS admissions wing today around 10 am...
the guy told that results will be uploaded on the site after 4 pm today...
