Hi Seniors,
Can anybody tell that whether XISS is accepting the MAT 2010 score or not?
I got 99.7 percentile in dec, 2010 MAT.

Some CAT coaching institute claimed that XISS is accepting the MAT score?
I doubt this information...please help me....can i apply with my MAT score or not:drinking:

No buddy XISS does not accept MAT scores.......You have to apply only through your XAT score...

Good to see XISS students coming out and talking about XISS PM course. Here's unbiased opinion from a non XISSian.
XLRI, TISS and XISS started out as the only programs offering a program specialized in PM & IR.

XISSians hold important positions in world class companies and have built a great reputation for themselves. XISS is low on advertisements and hence is not that well known in general. However, HR Heads hold it in high esteem.

Well might sound weird,but the cut-off was 30%ile in XAT last year.
It might not change,this year as well(personal presumption)

Last date to apply to XISS is 1st February.....Since XAT results are going to be declared in last week of January,you can wait....
But i would strongly recommend you to apply to only Personnel Management...Apply to Rural Development if you are interested to have a career in that sector....
Marketing and Finance are new courses and still the placements are shady for marketing and finance....

This is a follow-up of the placement update for personnel management which i had given in the previous page-

ACC cements took 12 students of PM. As of package, could not give you an exact idea, because yet to have a talk with the seniors in this regard..(college was closed,winter cum trimester break,opening from today.)

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited & PricewaterhouseCoopers scheduled for today.....

The fee is around 3 lacs...
Lodging charges additional for girls:grin:..boys need to arrange for themselves..

i dont think so.....they check ur oa score....i had a friend there 2 batches back
at tht time they werent looking for sectional.....

yeah they take ur oa score....
i dont have much knowledge abt the college but my friend took admission
in PM branch and got placement in TATASTEEL......

one of my co employee is also from XISS at a decent package in Reliance Power..

As far as i know,last year candidates who had 30%tile in XAT and applied to XISS separetly were called for GD/PI...So there was not any sectinal cut-offs....But a good percentile will enhance your chances of final conversion.:grin:

Since this year's paper was different and had a fifferential marking scheme it is difficult to predict your percentile....I would suggest you to wait till the results are declared and then apply accordingly..Last date to apply is 1st Februray 2011....

Well XISS is known for its Personnel Management and Rural Development Programme...If you are interestd in any of these course then you can apply...:grin:
Coming to Marketing and Finance...The reviews which i have received says" Placements are a bit on the lower side"..These are new courses and it will take time to establish themselves in the market....

Hi Rajan,
From this year, we have a centralised placement committee & hence the placement scene is quite rosy this year, when one compares it with the past few years..
However, to be very frank, placements are not 100% in finance(for that matter Marketing, Information Management)...
This year, a lot of good companies are coming for finance..
